Title: King reponds Post by: Panda Paws on Friday, September 16, 2005, 15:03:25 Good bits of audio/video of King here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/wiltshire/content/articles/2005/09/16/stfc_160905_feature.shtml Looks like his head is down a little ... doesn't look happy. Best bit is at the very end of the video interview. Title: King reponds Post by: walrus on Friday, September 16, 2005, 17:28:16 It's really sad hearing that, and you can't help but like him. I feel a cunt for calling for his head now. Maybe I should do a Yeovil and support him, I'm getting a soft spot for him. I just want to give him a big hug now!
Title: King reponds Post by: Spencer_White on Friday, September 16, 2005, 18:25:55 King does take this criticism very personally. He tends to wallow in an ocean of self pity when things go wrong which has always been one of his major faults.
Its helped him hang on when he should have been sacked before. Kings number one priority is to hang on to his own job, rather than to bring us success. Fact is STFC is a million times more important than Andy Kings wage and a million times more important than Andy Kings feelings. And the time is right for a change. Thats Football. Deal with it. He'll be gone soon. He's not gunna get us out of this. His head is down so how can he motivate the players. I think a lot of people are gunna get their wish fairly soon. Title: King reponds Post by: my-velocity on Friday, September 16, 2005, 18:40:04 He said on the radio on my way home from work that Thorpey may score 4 in the 1st half of tomorrows match and cureton will score another 3 in the second, then he said that may answer all our problems.
Not gunna happen Kingy Thorpe might score 2 though :D Title: King reponds Post by: yeo on Friday, September 16, 2005, 18:53:36 Wrong
Id rather a chap that cared than some prick who didnt 8) He wants it,i want it do the players want it? example .... Cureton (who will still do the bus in my opinion) When he was signed if any single one of you can prove that you didnt want him shout now........... Title: King reponds Post by: Dazzza on Friday, September 16, 2005, 18:57:25
Oh dear, I don't think he'll be here much longer to be honest. Clearly he was biting his lip there and was itching to have a go at the board and the fans. There's something a little strange about a grown man who always puts Mother ahead of his wife and child in conversaton. Not really. He would be perfectly safe with mid table seasons. It is a good interview, King's interviews whether or not you like them they are always entertaining. Quinn's interviews were bloody boring and McMahon awful. He odviously cares about his mum a lot yeah, he moved house so he was closer to her when his dad died. Title: King reponds Post by: yeo on Friday, September 16, 2005, 19:24:23 and that is why I will never(again) slate him.
He loves his Mum and he loves Swin-Don Andy King!!!!!! Having sat through the shocking Sandy 'Mumbles' Gray interview if we do have to keep King in any capacity stick him upstairs he's certainly a lot better than what we already have. Plus he has a bit of experience, he was commercial manager at Luton for a while if my memory serves me right. He can even bring Mother. |
