Looking forward to hearing “You’re not fit to run a club” ringing around the ground.

Today is a bunch of players about to leave Swindon, playing against a bunch of players from Morecambe’s youth team, in a dead rubber, playing in front of a hopeless and arrogant manager, and a hopeless, incompetent owner. Sing up.

I am really looking forward to going today, not for the football or to moan about Clem but to get this miserable season over with and say a goodbye to it in person.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of our young guns getting more game time.

For what is this club’s worst ever season, and without doubt, lowest ebb, no other club in this position would get as easy of a ride by their fanbase as ours. Standards at this club have dropped massively.

- MotM: Austin. First half was quality of old. Physique mixed with quality passes. Reminded us of the old qualities that we haven't seen much and only in spells
- You want to avoid too much turn over. Bycroft and some of the youngsters had their chance. Bycroft superb, but who else can the management rely on
- 15 out of contract. Massive turn over. If you are trying to build something substantial then you can't keep doing this. From a player's perspective, they want to know how the club is going to push on. Whats the pitch? Whats the plan?
- Fjortoft would love for Austin to be part of next year in a limited role if only in the dressing room

Don’t forget many didn’t want Conroe in the team but he’s been pivotal for them.

- When you do an analysis of the club then you look at the back room first and then look at the culture

- Morecombe: First team decided to play. Terrible position to be in
- Load to improve and loads to learn. Have enjoyed it. Last 3 games have blooded younger kids.
- 18 points in 18 games: Not great but sums up out season
- 100% take responsibility. Its his name as manager
- Need a clear out. You can see that
- Will speak to Clem and see what he says. Haven't spoken to him
- Getting the job: If he didnt believe he was going to be manager he wouldnt do it
- Retained list likely to come out on Monday
- Club looking over the abyss at National League: Its a realism of where we are at and where we will need to improve
- 100% sure that experienced players will be brought in

I actually do agree with this. Unsure if it’s people talking a big game over social media or just apathy to be honest though.

Fjortoft:
- Praised Hawes for asking the questions that needed to be asked. Gunning has to face those questions
- Fjortoft hasn't seen enough
- He's heard from others that Gunning is a 'brilliant coach' but there is more than that to be a manager
- Drinan has said about wanting to look for promotion. There needs to be a concrete plan and Fjortoft is keen to hear what it is
- How much authority does Gunning have?: Whether its Gunning or someone else - They aren't a saviour. Its the overall structure and identity of the club that needs to be put in place. When managers leave then the club's identity and structure should still be there. Its been too chaotic over the last few years.

I presume the murkiness of our Boardroom and the fact our owner is half a world away, probably means there is nobody obvious to protest AT when it comes to a matchday.

I'll repeat myself, time for the Trust to abandon being friends and instead work on a project to gain influence through investment or purchase of the business.  The minimum effort should be to make a public demand for a place on the Board, the maximum should be to focus on a 1-2 year project to offer ownership (or somewhere between the two).  Tie Clem to public statements of wanting the fans to be involved and wanting the best for the club, then hang him out to dry if he doesn't deliver.

Baby Fjortoft talks a good game, as he got any coaching credentials?  Can he get dad to front a fans plus investor Consortium?

The fanbase is split.
There will be a lot of people who only care about the football and live in hope new players will change on the pitch fortunes.
There will be older fans who don’t use social media and will probably have never heard of Zav Austin or Adam Hart let alone their criminal back grounds.
There will be apathetic fans who don’t see an alternative (in real life akin to hating your job but not being able to find a better one)
There will be fans who due to results have stopped going
There will be fans who due to the owners and gang have stopped going

There is absolutely nothing to unite these people. Nothing.
What these people need, what we all need (but won’t get) is an alternative, a proper alternative. I know business business nda’s professional blah blah blah bollocks crap but we need an alternative and that alternative needs to make himself know and get the fans to unite behind them by proving they can and will do better - until that happens (and the cynic in me thinks it won’t ever happen) we are just drifting slowly towards death and to be perfectly fucking honest - if there isn’t an alternative there to buy the club I’d rather we just cut the slow & painfully and just get straight to death and get this over and done with.

Fans will make enough noise when it’s too late. Those unhappy enough have mostly stopped going, those that remain are either content enough with something to do on a Saturday that they’ll always go or apathetic enough to just bare it.

Those left who are attending and attempting to make noise about discontent are facing a tough ask with that in mind.

Standards as a club and a fanbase are at rock bottom. Too often this season,  there’s been an unacceptable performance that’s been met with reviews of “that was alright”, it’s a steady slide over the past few years. First it was aims of auto’s being reduced to “I’d take play offs”, then it was “hopefully we’ll challenge for play offs”, now we’re at a point where as early as pre Jan, seasons are as good as written off. It’ll continue in this manner without full change throughout the club structure.

Thats a fairly direct post and I’m happy for people to disagree but that’s the main issue for me, break it down to basics and the standards of this club and fanbase need rebuilding because they’re in the gutter at the minute.

Today was the day to vent anger but it never happened.

Ive been to 4 games at home all year despite a season ticket but still post. I’d say I’m apathetic ?

There was a lot of booing in the Arkells where I was sat, but it was never prolonged. I booed at the end. Town End was dreadful quiet. Understandable I guess but I was hoping for some anti Clem chants or the classic, we want our Swindon back.

I found that hard today. With Morfuni sat watching, there was no discontent thrown his way. The only thing he has succeeded at is rapidly lowering our expectations, our standards, our ambition, and hope, to the point that a draw against an understrength Morecambe at home is considered to be fine. The prospect of Gunning taking the job is absurd. He’s a complete fool. He threw the youth under the bus in the interview, and is purely in it for himself. A real simpleton. I’ve never felt so disconnected from the club. Crooks and lemmings. I can’t see myself renewing unless there is significant change in ethos and personnel. Take the head off the snake please. I started anti Morph chants throughout in the Don Rogers. Few takers sadly.
Funnily enough, fellow hard core I spoke too were fed up but lacked the determination to force change.

That is me done 're season ticket. I will go next year depending on league position/Burslem/top of the league, if I have care in place for Mrs BV, otherwise I will have to find something else to do every other Saturday. That is depressing and pisses me off. 49 years and never felt like this.

Understand this. I sat there today and just cannot get my head around the inaction of the Trust allowing this to unfold without so much as a critical word. Attendance at an advisory board meeting where you are told that everything is fine, dandy and sustainable is no reason to sit and watch. The Trust has the ability to convey to the wider supporter base what is going on. I just find their silence is inexcusable. Do something.

In the Arkells there was some very limited chanting by a handful during the game. At the end of the match somebody actually threw an object towards Clem, it hit the Commmercial guy on the head, and bounced elsewhere, not sure what it was. There were 2 or 3 individuals shouting shit at Clem at that point, but they didnt stick around, they shouted and walked away quickly.

I would hope the Town End is the voice and i heard nothing coming from there. The away fans were far more angry and loud chanting about who they want out.

The apathy from the fans is and has been a concern for awhile.

Best place to get anti Clem chants was from the Town End but they seemed more interested in joking around with Morecambe’s keeper. Fair play there was a couple of chants towards the end but it needed to be throughout. There’s so much anger online and it doesn’t manifest itself in person. I made my feelings clear in the DRS at the end of game but hardly anyone joined in and most clapped them. Bonkers. Don’t know where the club goes from here, drastic change needed.

Edit: another option - they'll sign a couple of solid players, praise gunning for attracting them and a change of direction, maximise ST sales and appoint Gunning before reverting to type

I spoke with him at the Fans Forum and asked him if he had all the coaching qualifications now and he said he did. So watch this space I guess. Hopefully he doesn't get the gig, but it's the cheap/lazy/unambitious option, so of course he'll get it

Kemp won adver and I think SAS travel or the disabled supporters club. UGM won OSC. Not quite sure about the official ones, kept it very quiet for some reason...

I was sat only 40 rows from the Town End in the Arkells and did not hear a word of it, no way would Clem or even the players probably hear it.

FBT won the SAS Travel, Kemp got Adver and Disabled, UGM OSC

And UGM just announced as players player as well. FBT is an odd one!

Even FBT was embarrassed, he said that Dokes deserved it, but the voting is done over the course of the year and the SAS passengers vote for their POTM on the journey home and added up at the end of the season, similar to how we do it - so I am guessing that FBT had some consistent performance at away games in the early part of the season that got him the count.

Glad Charlie notched but i was expecting him to announce his boots being hung up. It was a season too far for him IMO.
