I have two piles in my sock drawer - those that have a life partner, and those that seemed to have drifted apart over the years, hoping that they will one day be reunited.

I initially thought they’d just got separated in the wash/laundry basket. But, no. Some have been kidnapped.

We have weird grass in Georgia, USA.  It goes to sleep in late November and doesn't wake up until early March.  It goes straw coloured for the winter, which makes it fun spotting who doesn't weed properly, because the weeds all start blooming a few weeks earlier.

Disagree strongly, hate hot cross buns, hate butter, dislike chocolate, despise cardamom, nutmeg, cloves and cinamon and the spicings used in Easter foods.

In Germany we have Osterfladen, XL or XXL versions of hot cross buns. Big enough to slice like bread, i had two thick slices this morning with butter and marmite...

That reminds me, didn't they used to have huge maundy rolls at Downing Street back in the early 80s? Weren't they called penny buns or something similar?  :sherlock:
