Title: ID Mobile
Post by: 4D on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, 07:38:06
Looking at getting a sim only deal with ID Mobile. I understand they run off the three network, anyone who uses them - how do you find the reception?

I’ve never had an ID or 3 mobile, but I have used a couple of 3 portable 4G wifi routers and they weren’t very good at all.

I'm with 3. Network coverage is fine, generally no better or worse than anyone else I've been with. But I don't live in Swindon.

Have ID mobile, it's fine. Picks up 5G where it's available. They are online only so can be a pain to get hold of anyone it's it's a chat only. Other than that no real issues.

think they are a Three network mvno.

I have had three for years without issues, others disagree

it's Curry's own brand who piggy back the three network like you said.

Also, they still honour your minutes, txt & data abroad...well my deal does anyway which is very handy.

I had a Three phone for a while before we moved up here.

Basically had no signal in our house, so called them to cancel, they asked why so I told them it’s because to call you today I’m at the bottom of my garden stood on a bench as that’s the only place I can get a signal. To be fair to them they didn’t then hassle me to try and make me stay.

Even back then the signal was fine in Swindon/Chippenham/Bristol before we moved

three are a mess with roaming with contacts from 2021.

PAYG you get it included
pay monthly you don't.

I've gone to their budget brand smarty. which is included, in fact I'm roaming now

I got ID Mobile for my Dad who lives in a village on the top of a hill. My son had 3 at the time. The ID Mobile couldnt get a signal in either phone. The 3 one got a signal in both.

The wife is transferring hers and entering the pac code and various info online. All entered correctly but it doesn't work. Says something has been entered wrong. It hasn't  :crash:
