one of the main arguments people persue in keeping King is his Kings loyalty to the club.

However i disagree that he is loyal to the club, infact he's quite the opposite. i offer this opinion by reminding people back in the season when we got to the play-offs, King applied for the vacant managerial job at Plymouth just 3 days before we were due to play them away from home. He did apply for the job and that is a fact, Frank Stapleton's (Plymouths chairman) son Ollie Stapleton is a mate at uni and gave me this information and he said kings application was thrown out because quote 'king would of been a PR nightmare'.  He also said Grant smith was an arrogant twat and wouldn't sign for them as he thought he was too good for them......sounds familiar

I will be finding out when i'm back at uni in a few weeks whether king has again applied for the plymouth job.

If King showed this little loyalty in a play-off season i don't hold much hope now

 The fact that you confuse the Plymouth chairman Paul Stapleton, with the statuesque former Arsenal and ManUre frontman Frank Stapleton....might lead some to question the validity of your information

 I'm sure the follow up about Brian Howard coming out in Cheltnum might interest Sussex Red....into hanging round the players entrance when we play The Tykes.

I'd have gone with the slightly better and plausible angle of the fat git shafting us for unfair dismissal when were admin and then threatening to do it a second time when faced with a potential replacement in his office.

but this is going off the point i just think that if you apply for jobs 3 days before your due to play the team your playing against you get into the george graham leeds/spurs situation

 Oddly I couldn't give a shit.....King is perfectly entitled to apply for any job he chooses...the same as any professional person....there's no such thing as loyalty in football.

Brian Tinion was very loyal.

By all accounts Tinnion worked feverishly behind the scenes to oust Wilson and so get the job for himself.....he may have thought this was good for the club although I suspect he thought it was good for Brian Tinnion.

 Maurice Owen was very loyal.

I agree I mean I've seen this posted elsewhere before and you get the same people who've always wanted king out anyway saying well if this is true then he must go disgraceful etc. but really I couldn't blame him at all even if it were true, it's just lucky he didn't get the job or we wouldn't have made the playoffs.

There are plenty of sticks to beat King with...without pointlessly attempting to dig up completly spurious stuff.

   My main gripe was the signing of Cureton and Thorpe, which at the time was more or less universally well received, and my moans seen as some sort of heresy.

He is still at Hibs, rumours were that Leeds and Cardiff were sniffing around but the transfer window slammed shut. He has been dropped to the subs bench after he requested a move.
