Post by: Onion_Jimbo on Monday, September 12, 2005, 15:56:46
how come it wont play some DVDs. It wont even recognise ones which my friend has copied... but it recognises (and plays them) on my mothers computer.

I have a regionless DVD which I thought should play. But it doesnt.

is it broke or do i have to fiddle with something

Do you have a problem with original dvd's? If so the sensor maybe out of line which will mean you'll have to purchase a new one.

There are two formats of DVD a '+' and a '-'. Some DVD players can cope with both and others are limited to one or the other. Have a look on the DVD that you are trying to play. It should say DVD+R or DVD-R.
