Title: STFC vs Salford C MoM
Post by: Red Frog on Saturday, February 26, 2022, 16:51:58
Pff. Typical Swindon eh? If we risked getting carried away by the last three games, this put us firmly back in our place. Salford were a much stiffer test than those, but while we were always in it, we just lacked that sharpness all over the pitch. We do need better forward options off the bench though - hope we haven't picked up any injuries.

The ref played a blinder for Salford, he'll probably get a game for them next week.

Not sure what the Ref did that was particularly pro Salford and/or anti Swindon.

He was completely and utterly anti Josh Davison.

Didn't make any major decisions against us/for Salford but every single small decision went their way. Still no idea what the free kick leading to their equaliser was for

Decent shifts from Reed, Davison and Tomlinson

Very difficult one to call.
Iandolo had a lot of the ball but didn't create enough.
McKirdy was our only real threat.
JML made Barry look better than he was today
OBrien could and should have done better with one goal and I think perhaps Tomlinson for the second (but would have to watch it back).
Reed was ok in a non threatening position, but not further up the pitch.
Davison huffed and puffed...and had his 'tackle' felt!

Williams had his tackle felt too. What is wrong with Salford players?
