Title: Outside tap electric shocks Post by: Bob's Orange on Thursday, July 22, 2021, 21:23:11 All week my wife had been complaining about getting electric shocks when turning off the outside tap so I've been doing it for her. I thought it was odd that it was happening to her and not me but tonight I got a shock.
Any ideas why this might be happening? Anyone else experienced anything similar? Title: Re: Outside tap electric shocks Post by: Samdy Gray on Thursday, July 22, 2021, 21:35:36 Probably just static electricity build up. Happens more in humid weather.

Perhaps it’ll work with an outside tap Title: Re: Outside tap electric shocks Post by: Bob's Orange on Thursday, July 22, 2021, 22:00:04 But isn't static build up generally when you first touch something? It happened to me during the actual tap rotation.

Tap a key on the inside of door panel before you get out and save your knuckles 🙂 Title: Re: Outside tap electric shocks Post by: 4D on Thursday, July 22, 2021, 23:52:27 Check your pipeworks are earthed.
