I hate them :evil: why do they have to be alive!!?There was loads of the pests in my room last night and one came flying right towards my face.
How do you kill them with out putting them through a slow painful death?(because I'm not that cruel)My friend picks all their legs off,so they just have little bodys :( thats nasty though.

Just punch/slap/stamp on them, thats what i do.  Little annoying blighters!

I don't want to touch them either though because they might have landed on a dog poo a couple of minutes before :x  I might buy one of those stick things that kill flys.

Just get some tissue and pick him up (whilst trying not to hurt it) and throw it outside.

Did you know they have the poisonous venom out of any insect contained within their body?  The tragic fact is they don't have any fangs to get it out their body!

They're also technically called a crane fly, a daddy long legs is actually something else.

As for killing them - don't open windows in rooms with lights on - then they won't fly in!!

get a paper and whack them or just grab them in your hand and throw them out, that is what I do!!

I'm going to spray them with some body spray and hope they fall asleep nicely. 8) lynx is strong.

If you use hairspray it will stick their wings together. A top tip for wasps and bees also. Plus it makes them flammable once they fall to the floor if you are that way inclined....not that I am, but its just a fact!

ps - i don't use hairspray!!!! my dad used to and I found this out years ago when it was all I could find to defend myself from a bee

after a summer of living in a tent, insects (well, british ones) and spiders don't bother me at all now. I used to only open my bedroom window when I was in the room so that I could monitor anything entering my insect-free zone.

Put a cup over the insect, so that the cup is flat against the surface.  Then slide a bit of paper between the surface and the cup, then lift carfefully and lob the insect out the window
