i've just got home after my nightshift, drove up to East Midlands Airport and back in a wee transit van tonite, was lots of fun.  :wink:



having watched the first part of the new American Chopper Carol Shelby GT500 bike build on sunday, and the second part being monday 9pm/repeated tuesday 3am, i asked my mum or sister to record it. 3am they say, as they're recording something at 9. no problem i say, tell em when it is, and that its an hour long, cushty.


i've just watched it. all FIFTEEN MINUTES they managed to record. safe to say im quite pissed off.

Oh the joys of Mum trying to record something for me which she always used to fuck up!, thank god i dont have that problem anymore thanks to Sky+ :wink:

Every time I phone my mum to ask her to record something on Sky+ she always says she doesn't know how to do it, so I talk her through it, hoping she might remember this time.  

Next time comes around, maybe a week down the line, and she's bloody forgotton what to do already - every time!

You have SKy+ right?  Just set series link and it will record every episode automatically

We haven't always got a game though, so I'm in some Wednesdays - I'll consider it though, good call.

you dont think i've tried opening my mum's eyes to the benefits of sky+? she's a complete technophobe. plus the fact she doesnt listen to a word coming out of my mouth, had a problem with the pc a year or so ago, i knew what the problem was, so told her. she didnt believe me, thought i was trying to wangle a new pc or something. she asked my brother-in-law, he said EXACTLY the same as me and she went with 'his' advice.

Its easy, if you are in and you've recorded it just press that Yellow button and delete it, jobs a good un'.

Yeah, we have absolutely everything set-up with series link, just in-case and just delete once watched.  I love Sky+  :oops:

To you have to pay anything extra for Sky +. Can I go into a shop a pick up the box, get home plug it in and it works?

£10 a month on-top of subscription unless you have sports/movies then it is free i think!  Basically I pay £51 a month but that is with an extra box.

They have to install the dish as its not freeview.

Poo. I just had them in for an extra Sky box in my brothers room.

I am sure if you have Sky+ with multiroom you can get it for £89 or something like that with free installation!  Did they install a new dish with the multiroom? cause i have a feeling it is the same dish for multiroom and sky+ but i could be wrong!!

They just put a new end on the dish, which has two leads coming out instead of the one.

As i found out when the Sky engineer installed my dish, he had finished putting the dish up and opened the box he had and it was a normal Sky box, "no i did actually ask for Sky+!" "oh right i better go and put another lead onto the dish then" he replied.
