Reg - the original of that Lowry painting 'Going to the Match' is owned by the PFA Pension Fund - last time I was at the Lowry museum in Salford Quays - it was on display there........   a superb picture!

I've also got a copy of it as well - memories of a bygone age!

That's really amazing to see, just like the other thread with the train in it. I'd give everything i own to go back and see something like that.

Football just isn't the same i fear for my generation

You're right there. I've just watched That's Football again, the documentary about Swindon in 1992-93 which Channel 4 showed in 1994. I know that's not at all old compared to the other 2 things mentioned but seeing the standing, atmosphere etc it took me back, wish it was like that now.

I will try to arrange that. I bought a DVD recorder yesterday so once I've sussed out how to work it!! I was going to put things up on here if people wanted copies. I've got loads of 80's matches on video and lots of 90's stuff as well.

I'm off on holiday this weekend so it'll probably be after that, I'll let you know when I've sorted it.

Ok, i'll let you know after my holiday. It wouldn't cost much anyway as the blank DVD's don't cost much and it shouldn't cost much to post in a jiffy bag either, about 2 pounds I should think in total but I'll check that out as well.
