Title: La Compagnie
Post by: RobertT on Monday, December 28, 2015, 23:34:10
Anyone flow with this relatively new airline?  Just does Business Class from Luton to New York (Newark) and was looking for August time at Premium Economy flights and these guys seem to match that price for Business, which is nuts.  Looks like they are trying to do what budget airlines did to short haul economy, but wondering whether it would be a really pail imitation product.  Plus we are planning on taking in 4 cities so having to get back to NY for the return takes a day out of our time (last stop being Chicago or Pittsburgh).

Just business class? Where's the rest of the plane? Sounds dodgy to me

I've never flown with it but it is a slightly paled down version of a usual business class product.  Where they have had problems has been where one of their planes has needed maintenance and there have been a few delays.  There have been a number of these "all biz class airlines" and they have tended to fail.  Have you looked at the idea of pricing flights out of Dublin?  Obviously you have the extra cost of getting there but the fares are much, much lower.  All depends on how much time you have but BA for example is much cheaper to fly Dub-London-NY return than simply London-NY return and may be less than La Compagnie..
