Title: New manger Post by: Sir red ken on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 20:31:38 Any of you willing to take a punt on how long our new manager will last? STFC seem to be going through managers at a rate of knots over the last 5 years, would any of you care to speculate how long Ling will be at the helm?
Title: Re: New manger Post by: Flashheart on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 20:34:46 25 years.
Title: Re: New manger Post by: RobertT on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 20:36:00 Until Christmas?

Title: Re: New manger Post by: Flashheart on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 20:38:07 It's ironic that I've been considering taking bets on how long Red Ken remains a member of the TEF.
Title: Re: New manger Post by: Nomoreheroes on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 20:39:27 I know Ling isn't that pretty, but I'm not sure I would classify him as a 'manger' !
Title: Re: New manger Post by: RobertT on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 20:42:00 I thought I was going to have to explain my guess for a minute.
Title: Re: New manger Post by: Skinny Pete on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 20:48:03 Until Hull freezes over.
Title: Re: New manger Post by: Nomoreheroes on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 20:56:40 I thought I was going to have to explain my guess for a minute. Why? Because he'll be away? :-)Title: Re: New manger Post by: Reg Smeeton on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 21:02:28 Until Christmas? I thought it may have been an appeal going out for the annual STFC carol service at Christ Church. Does that still happen under Power? Title: Re: New manger Post by: ronnie21 on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 21:11:29 I thought it may have been an appeal going out for the annual STFC carol service at Christ Church. Does that still happen under Power? I was in a stable today, lovely manger for the ponies there!Title: Re: New manger Post by: Talk Talk on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 22:17:46 We need a dog to fill the position, obviously.
Title: Re: New manger Post by: Kinky Tom on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 22:24:34 How many Kens does it take for the TEF constituency think about moving to pastures new once more?
One, because he's that much of a cunt. Title: Re: New manger Post by: Ells on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 23:27:16 I remember you from the old Adver days. Fuck me, we had a lot more problems then. And you're whining now?
I really don't get it. I thought to be a real moaning bastard youd have to be young-ish and naive (like me) or old enough that you'd been there and seen it all and it doesn't really bother you any more. But the multitudes of "I've been supporting this club for 30+ years.." With huge hyperbole Are astounding. Is this a new fashion or something? Title: Re: New manger Post by: Talk Talk on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 23:33:52 But the multitudes of "I've been supporting this club for 30+ years.." With huge hyperbole Are astounding. Is this a new fashion or something? I've been supporting Swindon for ten years last month. Yes, really. Port Vale at home under Iffy. Oh my life, what a rollercoaster. I don't think I qualify yet Ells, another twenty years and I will be nearly forty five... Title: Re: New manger Post by: Batch on Thursday, November 5, 2015, 07:21:53 remember that time you got refused entry and things escalated to mechetegate...
that sounded funny Title: Re: New manger Post by: Sippo on Thursday, November 5, 2015, 09:02:09 Get away in one.

We've had 5, Wilson, Hart, PdC, KMac and Cooper. Of these 5, 3 were sacked, 2 walked.
Of the 3 sacked, all failed to turn around struggling sides....sometimes struggling can be a relative thing, so for instance John Gorman survived the Prem season, because nobody was surprised and so he wasn't seen as accountable. As far as Lingy is concerned. Power has stated he thinks we're in a false position, so he will expect a more or less immediate winning run. Should that not transpire, then it is entirely conceivable he'll be gone before the season's end, or more unlikely decide enough is enough and walk. Realistically football management isn't a job where you expect to hang about for long....the compensation being that if sacked you're guaranteed your contract being paid up. Title: Re: New manger Post by: Skinny Pete on Thursday, November 5, 2015, 12:48:20 Most of us expect a fairly immediate upturn of results.
Improving performances are no good without the points to back them up. Title: Re: New manger Post by: Reg Smeeton on Thursday, November 5, 2015, 13:04:48 Most of us expect a fairly immediate upturn of results. Improving performances are no good without the points to back them up. We've taken the lead in a game once, at Donny, since doing so briefly at Barnsley 10 games ago....we've still got a lot to do to be remotely competitive....improve performances and points will follow. BTW, Barnsley have contrived to lose 7 in row, not long after beating us 4-1. Title: Re: New manger Post by: Skinny Pete on Thursday, November 5, 2015, 13:48:09 Yeah, Barnsley seem surprisingly shite without our excuse of wholesale injuries.
Seems Mawson didn't have much of a choice after all Title: Re: New manger Post by: 4D on Thursday, November 5, 2015, 14:05:40 Ken = Albert
Title: Re: New manger Post by: Combe Down on Friday, November 13, 2015, 08:27:14 Crucially, do we know what the political persuasion of the new manager is? Do you know, I don't give a fuck; just like I didn't with any ex-manager. Ken Beamish could have supported the Monster Raving Loony Party for all I care. QED.

Do you know, I don't give a fuck; just like I didn't with any ex-manager. Ken Beamish could have supported the Monster Raving Loony Party for all I care. QED. Even more importantly, he doesn't parade his politics, nor appear to treat players based on its principles. Ken Beamish definitely supported the MRLP. Title: Re: New manger Post by: Flashheart on Friday, November 13, 2015, 09:00:33 He likes cheddar, we need know nothing else.
Title: Re: New manger Post by: DarloSTFC84 on Friday, November 13, 2015, 10:50:12 He likes cheddar, we need know nothing else. Cheese does not end at cheddar, we need to know what other cheeses (if any) he likes. |
