Vigouroux has been turning up to training an hour & a half late apparently. This is the reason behind it.

Not sure. It was probably once or twice last week and maybe discussions about it weren't very constructive.

I was watching him train at half time on Saturday and he spent the first 5/10 mins on his own with nobody talking to him or helping him train. He was just taking pens in an empty net. This said a lot that even Hale wasn't warming him up.

Didn't Cooper say he and the players decided he should be dropped. If the players are saying that, kinda speaks volumes.

Seems a bit drastic if it's just being late for 1 training session.

Got to be more to it than that. Hope it's not a symptom of the current malaise at the club.

For all we know, Vig could have been partly behind the current problems on the pitch?

So can we do another season long loan?  Does the fact that Liverpool recalled him mean that we get that loan slot back?  Would be nice to get a more experienced keeper in to add a voice at the back and help the defence out, we have serious lack of voice and leadership back there..

We're still in the Emergency Loan Window, but we can only sign someone for a max of 90-odd days.

This is the fun bit..... lets have some names of people that would fit that brief and our wage structure.

I'm going to open proceedings with Ryan Alsop, Bournemouth's 3rd choice. Young, but with good experience at this level.

Need to get someone in ASAP as Belford may say nice things on Twitter but he's a pretty poor keeper. Realistically I would say he's not even really a football league keeper in terms of quality, probably conference at best like his brother so a run with him as our regular keeper scares me.

It's not based on one game though is it. He had that run the other season when Fods was injured, he played a few times last season and preseason and obviously there was Saturday.
He just doesn't have the attributes to be a regular Football League keeper. He's very small, Fods wasn't the biggest but he at least had a presence, he doesn't command his box, he gets beaten at his near post a lot and his handling has always been suspect. Also he's very hesitant and indecisive off his line culminating in his red card last season.
He's been here 3 years now and never put any pressure on the number one so I think it's long enough on which to base an opinion now. He's a useful backup and no more than than that.

He could have offered them up with a laugh or, as sounds more likely, with a sarcastic wave of the hand.

Just goes to show, he doesn't show up for training on time and gets his loan terminated - Ranger doesn't turn up at all and gets indulged.

But what happened to the pennies

Power made Cooper take them to the Coinstar in Asda.

Seem then that Vigeroux had the "too big for League 1" attitude that blights some premier league youngsters, if those reports are true. Buck up the attitude or see you in a few years..

25p (Crown) - for any amount not exceeding £10

20p - for any amount not exceeding £10

I don't think it's Cooper. I think it's just his attitude.

When Ranger was playing up the players had a say in what punishments happened. So it wouldn't surprise me if the fine was judged by the players.

FLIC reported that the penny thing was according to the daily mail, I.e. That's still the only source.

It would be nice to see some proof that he's a wanker rather than 'he said she said', but a disciplinary issue and then being fucked off certainly doesn't sound like he had the perfect attitude. Perhaps they'll make the bastard live in Liverpool, that'll learn him.

We have got Stewart as well

If FLIC are now just going to report what the BBC report (and make no attempt to hide it) can someone please explain the point of FLIC?

Haven't all clubs done this since year dot! Frankly if Liverpool have recalled him because of this, its not surprising that young premier league players are so far up their own arses!

Surely allegedly paying in pennies is taking the piss and fines are usually handed out by the captain for trivial things and I think they go into the players pot for things like their Christmas party.

But he's fine he can go back to Liverpool sit in the reserves pick up his wages for the duration of his contract not worry about first team football.

I suspect his recall was a discussion between LFC & STFC be surprised if there was not more to it though than just arriving late for 1 training session

"So Mark, why is your no 1 keeper on the bench today?"

"It is a secret".

"But the fans have a right to know!"

"So Mark, will your no 1 keeper be starting at Doncaster?"

"What makes you think he won't?"

"The Mail, The Sun..."

"It is a secret."

Loan was never officially terminated... all just press bollocks. No wonder Power hates everyone in the media.

Went back for a meeting, got a bollocking, came back with his tail between his legs, starts on Saturday, no one needs to know more than simply an internal disciplinary matter.

Or someone in the club talks to the journos, tells them it is an 'internal disciplinary matter' and uses that relationship to hold on the story or soft pedal it and then he's back with none of this flap.

I think I've missed an article or some posts here. Is this the correct sequence of events?

1. Vigoroux is late for training
2. Captain doles out fine
3. Vigoroux pays in pennies
4. Cooper has a word with the lads who are unhappy about it.
5. Coops has a word with Vigoroux which I imagine doesn't go splendidly
6. Coops sends him back to Liverpool
7. Liverpool chew him out
8. He apologises to the team and comes back
