Title: Food and Drink Shortcuts/I Didn't Know That
Post by: Red and Proud on Sunday, August 2, 2015, 15:25:33
Mods, you can change the threat title if someone comes up with something more punchier.

Right, here goes, you'll pick this up as you go along and maybe add to it.

1ltr lemonade, diet or standard full fat (may work with cloudy but either way you'll have to engage in a little alchemy because. cap sizes vary as does the "secret" ingredient). 2 caps balsamic vinegar. This I tell you tastes like an alcohol free, wait for it......................Pimms!

So does anyone have any "secret" Recipies for food or drink that side step the norms of thinking?

Boil cauliflower and mash it up - same taste and texture as rice but no carbs.

If you put sugar puffs, cheese quavers and marmite in a bowl together, mix together with a splash of milk, put in microwave for 3 minutes on high power. Once done stick in the fridge for 10 minutes, the end result tastes like butterscotch angel delight, infused with honeycomb.

Don't bother buying 'I can't believe it's not butter', just buy butter instead, it's way better.

If you want to get more juice out of a lemon when squeezing it microwave it for 10- 20 secs before (dependant on size)

We don't own a microwave, will a normal oven suffice?

Or roll it across the work surface with the palm of your hand.

Earl Grey with Green Tea loose leaf. Add one lump of brown sugar and a teaspoon of hot pepper sauce. Make for a great sinuses/sore throat remedy.
