Said that all of last season as well, supporters who get there 2-30-ish are driven into submission by the absolute crap they play - music (if you can call it that) is supplied and played by an independent third party apparently, but whatever it is it is still crap.  Unfortunately Jed and co don't hear it as they are bullshitting their way through the Legends etc.!!

Which reminds me of a dream I had last night where I was in the country ground car park after a game and Jed turns up with loads of lorries with fake cinema fronting on, a full on entrance with film name on the white sign above the impressive looking entrance.

Someone explained that Jed had marketed the county ground as a multi screen cinema and he was sticking the fake fronting in front of the turnstiles so nobody could complain..

Watkins was our best chance for changing things. I think it was he who dumped the outrageously 'local' OOOArrrr wanker on the mic a few years ago though, so fair play to him.

Conversely, he allowed the cunty, outdated fucking skiffle music to continually blare out, rocking fucking robin's hakka and those horrific, pre-pubescent / chunky / lardy kids in leotards and pom poms to prance around the pitch - so he fucking failed.

It's not difficult to stick some up-to-date music on, or to stage some half time entertainment, so here's a suggestion for free:

Maybe the club could do a deal with somewhere like Foxies - a dozen fit / professional dancers on the pitch before the match and again at half-time would soon become legendary throughout the league - with both sets of fans.

It would generate untold publicity for the club and would give Foxies loads of free publicity as well, which is a win-win situation (as Glenn would say) on both sides.

Seems easy, but we're a family club...can you start to imagine the effect this might have on Ranger? One of the joys about being a fairly shitty Div 3 team, is that you can time it to arrive at 2:59....and so avoid the embarrasing shit.

It's not hard to change, stick anything on a bit off the mainstream. I wouldn't care if it was Gypsy Kings, King Tubby, or The Exploited, anything bar fucking Robbie Williams.( actually i'd like the first 3)

Was in DRS for the turkey game as took girls - could actually hear the safety announcement where as in the TE you hear the preannouncement jingle and then fuck all but muffled near silence

As an outsider, the contrast between NFL and College football somewhat perplexes me.  The size of the college stadiums for a start, and then that they all seem like drunk crazed nutcases.  It's like having 120,000 home fans at a football game really.  Can't ever imagine Team Bath getting the same following over here.

Why do we need pre-match entertainment anyway? Rocking Robin is for the kids, that's fine, but this isn't America for christ's sakes, why the fuck should we have cheerleaders? Football isn't like American sports where it's so fucking boring you need to be drunk or have boobies wiggling at you to keep your attention focused.

Just having some people to get the crowd singing will be good enough. 'Plants' I believe they're called are used in American and German stadiums to sing as a group and start off the chanting. They get a free ticket to sing for as long as possible during the match and keep the atmosphere going.

There is never a time not to have this done.

There was a match a few years back where a gentlemans club was being promoted at the CG.
