Title: Ticketing
Post by: Power to people on Monday, July 8, 2013, 11:36:59
I see all telephone bookings for tickets have been outsourced and a £2 charge is added but that you can now book tickets online and print out your ticket though

Online system looks good, and being able to print tickets is a good idea. I'll reserve judgement until I've used it properly though. Interesting that they say "Away ticket booking" is coming soon - that could be a really useful feature.

Not bothered about the phone charges. If it's free to do it online then I think most people will be satisfied.

Will I finally be able to get cup tickets online for my junior ST holding son? If so, it looks good to me (assuming it works!).

Have tried to use it to buy tickets for Torquay at home.

I can get my seat, but can't manage to get those of the rest of the family (all ST's).

so it's currently worse then, assuming it's fully operational. Have you fed this back to the club?

yes I have.

To be fair, I had a reply this morning telling me that you cannot link together season tickets, however as it's free to purchase them online it doesn't really matter if you make multiple transactions.

However, what I now need to do is to somehow link the online account to a season ticket. I have e-mailed back to ask how this is supposed to work, but my wife & son's tickets are not showing their season tickets, they could however both buy my ticket. :(

Posh Red, how did you manage to buy your own seat for Torquay? For the life of me I can't work out how to prove to the site I'm me so it knows it can sell me my own seat.

Am I missing something?  I was told new cards would be sent out this season for ST holders and as yet I haven't recieved mine. Is the online ticketing recognising membership numbers from the old cards?

You can call me confused as well!

Just gone into the stfcmyticket website and registered as a member. For the Tottenham game it came up as me being a season ticket holder in the correct seat and I could purchase there and then if I wanted, but there also appeared to be a different i.d. number against my name compared to the one on my old season ticket.

As I can get into the Ticket office easily it is no problem to me to buy tickets, so whether this "new" system is going to be a better method for those who cannot then only time will tell as usual.

Nope, can't figure out how to add my season ticket to my account?

Same as Ticker45, my account already had my season ticket connected with my account.

I think this may be because I had registered on the old site.

However I haven't got a clue how to do it on the new site.

Hmmm, think I used to log in with my ST number and postcode.

Think I'll treat the website as work in progress until they figure it all out.

Talking of ticketing, the Cap One Cup seems to be running some kind of BOGOF on tickets, this suggests we would be included:
http://www.capitalonecup.co.uk/2for1/

http://www.capitalonecup.co.uk/documents/ticket-redemption-terms-all-clubs-final12-1304-896910.pdf

Apparently codes will be appearing "in local radio and newspaper media from 8th July." 350 available per club.

Sorry if its been mentioned? Not seen it on out site, seems the other clubs have announced so no idea if it does apply or not?

Online ticketing will let me buy a junior ticket for my missus's lad, but not my seat.

I've been having the same issues with ST not being assigned to my account.

Thank goodness the lad from the ticket office who knows what he is doing is now back and he sorted it in 5 mins. Give them a call and you should get some joy.

I rang up the number given on the "Spurs tickets available" story on the website and got put straight thru to Ticketmaster, didn't go near our ticket office. But from the difficulties they had matching up the season tickets I was buying on behalf of (2 adults, 3 kids) and the apparently multiple accounts for each one, it sounds like the underlying database is a bit of a mess. Probably due to continually re-integrating the same data from multiple different underlying sources. It'll get ironed out as the system goes on, as they work out which ones are the "ghost" accounts that aren't linked to S/Ts and how to prune them. All new systems have teething problems.

Spoken like a true programmer. Code's fine, it's just the data that's crap :)

PICNIC Problem in chair not in computer

So, I phoned the ticket office and they told me that every season ticket holder already has an account so you don't need to create another one.

One you have that account number you can activate the accounts of all season ticket holders and then one all activated it is possible to link them together and then you can but all of the tickets in one transaction.

I spoke to a guy called Jason, who was really helpful & sorted it all out in no time.  :)

Only issue I now have is that my sons ticket for Torquay is an adult ticket even though it should be a young adult.  Have to say I am confident that if I give the ticket office a call they will sort that too.

Pleased to report the problem wasn't a KUI error ;)

I emailed the club shop address regarding obtaining a ticket for tonight’s business plan presentation and Jason got back to me very quickly and helpfully said he would put one aside for me to pick up on the door as I haven’t been able to get to the club shop.

Credit where it is due.
