How depressing for him :(
Title: Re: Amiga Emulator Post by: kaufman on Monday, June 10, 2013, 09:24:21 There's plenty of decent emulators for macosx now also.
Of course not many people realise you can visit this place in Swindon. http://www.museum-of-computing.org.uk/ They have pretty much every major console and computer set up to play. Seems not many people know about it Title: Re: Amiga Emulator Post by: Batch on Monday, June 10, 2013, 21:58:51 Cheers batch! Yesterday I was chatting to my brother in law (20 year old) and he had never heard of Amiga! How depressing for him :( its mainly here http://www.vware.at/winuaehelp/ but: 1. install WINUAE after downloading from web. 2. you need a kickstart ROM (basic OS stuff). I have put a 1.3 one in batch.me.uk/AMIGA (my site seems down right now, should be back by tomorrow - silly free host! 3. Start winUA. In the settings select "paths" on the left pane. point "system roms" to your kickstart rom that you will download from my site. 4. Download a rom (you can hopefully find on the web). I've put KO 2 in batch.me.uk/AMIGA as example, when you start winUAE - select "quickstart" from the left pane - Make sure A500 is selected as model. - in the main pane, click "select image file" and point it at game ROM - finally select the "start" button. 5. You may need to update directx The KO2 ROM I provided will load a "cracked" screen. Double click mouse to advance, eventually the game loads ! On my laptop defaul control for player 1 seems to be via numberpad, 8 up, 2 down, 4 left, 6 right, 5 fire/select. Video, sound and joystick and other settings - good luck :) Title: Re: Amiga Emulator Post by: Freddies Ferret on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, 18:48:40 thanks batch, managed to get it working! currently playing cannon fodder :)
