What time train is everyone getting Monday and what pub are Town fans going too?  :pint: :pint:

Was thinking the 9:59 from Swindon get to Brentford around lunch time.

Haven't posted in yonks.... Just wondering what pubs are likely to have any Town fans in, in London - both legs?

Working Saturday night, so can't get back to Swindon to get to the game?

Cheers

Famous Three Kings at West Kensington Tube Station will be showing it.

Yeah that's where I thought would be the best bet. Didn't know if there were any Town fans gathering in any particular... although, I guess most will be in Swindon.

You could head to Brentford and watch it in a pub.  If we win you’ll get the benefit of drinking with happy town fans before, and after.  You could even sneak in the back gates once the final whistle has gone for the lap of honour.
 We'll probably lose mind.

A load of the London based lot who aren't going to the games are going to be here for the first leg:

The Railway Tavern, 15 Liverpool Street, London EC2M 7NX
Nearest tube: Liverpool Street
http://www.traditionalpubslondon.co.uk/railwaytavern/

and here for the second leg on Monday:

The Euston Flyer, 83-87 Euston Road, London NW1 2RA
Nearest tube: Kings Cross St Pancras
http://eustonflyer.co.uk/

Sure they will make you (or anyone else) welcome if you wanted to join them

They'll be a fair few there on saturday, but many of us are heading to Swindon, expect a big turnout monday though due to the Brentford ticketing situation

The New Inn seems to be the pub of choice for away fans. Getting the half 12 train and going via reading so will get there about half 2.

I was doing a bit of digging about into other teams' budgets a little while back.

Year ending May 2012 Brentford made losses of over 5M and are in debt to the tune of 17M. http://www.beesunited.org.uk/downloads/accounts/BFC%20310512%20Statutory%20Final%20Accounts.pdf

Now I don't know deep their owner's pockets are but I wouldn't be surprised to see them making massive cutbacks for next season.

But it seems to be only Swindon who are the subject of rants from other teams' fans about spending a lot of money. I still wonder how Bournemouth will manage if their owner wants out...

Indeedy.

I'd hazard a guess that their current debt stands at about 20M. That's an enormous amount for a club of that size.

The notes to the accounts say that "the financial position has been transformed
following Matthew Benham assuming full control of the Club at the end of June 2012 and converting the bulk of his loans into preference shares". His investment was £15m so thats not debt any longer.

Ah, right.

Still a bunch of cheats though.  ;D

Depends if they wrote off the inter-group loans. Benham's loans written off were only £4.6m of their £9.7m debt.

Losses of £9m over 2 years from turnover of about £3m p.a.
Unless he's got very deep pockets they'll be needing cutbacks too.
Am I right in thinking that our cumulative losses since the Fitton takeover were only about £4m in 4 years? (Debts went from £9m to £13m ??)

Up till last season that would be about right, but it includes a couple of mil in player sales.  This years losses are likely to be a bit eye watering.

Missed the train after the game as well because it took so long to get out of the one exit they had open.

Still one of the best away days for me. Glad to have them again next season rather than a trek to Yeovil.

That and it was good to see Douglas bottle it obviously (even from the bench), the bottling little bottler.
