Another claimed that because we had money that we should hire 2 maids, giving away the fact that she had been sneaking through our bank details whilst we were out, they even have the cheek to ask for severenace pay of 1 month's salary after 2 days of doing fuck-all. Title: POSITION AVAILABLE!!! Post by: magicroundabout on Tuesday, August 9, 2005, 08:44:14 it amazes me that people find the concept of cleaning so hard.
to even attempt to try and clean a car with a mop is just stupidity in it's self. i mean how hard can cleaning be. so i take it no news on your old maid being able to come back? No news whatsoever, which is a shame cos' she was real good. Being Burmese it is unlikely that there are any communications whatsoever where she is. Title: POSITION AVAILABLE!!! Title: POSITION AVAILABLE!!! Post by: walrus on Tuesday, August 9, 2005, 13:37:01 Could you not try giving one a trial period, in which you tell them they must impress or they're out on their ear, without sounding too stern or threatening!
My mum has a ironing business and loans out business to helpers, but they can be poo, over-charging my mum (telling her it took longer than it should have done) and not doing a very good job. By giving them a trial it gently reminds them their work's under scrutiny!! Title: POSITION AVAILABLE!!! Cos lets face it, anyone from Britain with a full time job is stinking rich in Thailand! By Thai standards you wouldn't exactly say that I am rich (Having a maid is fairly common here) although I am certainly well off. By English standards you could say that I am comfortable, although it really can be difficult to compare because my lifestyle is vastly different here regardless of money. For example being able to jump on a a speedboat to get to an island may seem extravagant but it really is not such a big deal out here, also eating out here is the norm even for less well monied Thai's. Yet going out to a restaurant in England is often a special event that can require saving for and is certainly not a daily occurence. Title: POSITION AVAILABLE!!! next time you do you should come and say hello in the Merlin before a game. Title: POSITION AVAILABLE!!! It depends, if you are a farmer in the country side living in a wooden shack then 200 baht is alot of money, those guys can be lucky to get 10,000 baht a year. The average monthly wage out here for an office worker is around 8,000 baht/month. Personally I get a salary of 100,000 Baht/month, so i guess that I could be considered rich if I didn't squander it all so much. Title: POSITION AVAILABLE!!!
