I did not create the page at all mate, another guy did and asked me too help. We get a lot of interaction from fans so can't be that bad, just giving that little bit extra with blogs etc. You don't have to like or follow, would appreciate it though.

Samuel Smiths make some fantastic beers, unlike the "John Smiths" shite. I agree about the Samuel Smiths pub in the centre of Oxford, a nice place in a horrible location!

I'm basing my opinion on my only ever taste of a Sam Smith's pint on a previous visit to Scunthorpe. It was about £1.20 a pint and looked and tasted like dishwater. I suppose it could've just been the hostelry.

Hi Sam,

Good work with the pages. I would be willing to 'pass on' some of my inside information for a small monthly fee. Just search for my scoop on a certain Paul Duffen for an example of the extent of my knowledge.

PM if you wish to discuss this further.

I'll second that, there's a Samuel Smiths pub in Marylebone, The Angel in the Fields, the stout is great.

A few doors down is a fantastic sit down fish and chips, The Golden Hind

If you're in that area of London, well worth checking out.

No :) I had an attempted mugging against me in the city centre and also had 2 cars stolen in Swindon by some Poxford scumbags that were caught racing them in the city centre (on seperate occassions!).

The thing with Sam Smith's is that down the about the midlands it is cask but further south it tends to be nitrokeg. So in the north you can get a bad pint (or a much better one) in the south it will be uniform.

But that Sam Smith- he's just a pain on Twitter, makes Dan The Fan seem insightful.

I live oop north and there are several Sam Smith's pubs around here.  As far as I can recall, all of the draft products are "own brand" so that includes the lager (2 types I think), stout, cider, cask bitter and keg "smooth" bitter.  I suppose it's possible that the smooth travels better and is therefore more common down south, but I would have thought the type you get just depends on which sort the landlord decides to stock?

All of the bottles, spirits, cordials, pops are non-branded as well so if you're getting a round for two, you can usually get some decent change out of a fiver regardless of what two drinks you get.

I love Sam Smiths!

Not having a dig, but what is it that these pages are offering? Do Town fans really need more places to discuss the club online? Good luck to you, but between here, thisis and the main fans facebook page think it's a somewhat saturated market unless you're doing something different.

I get a small amount of amusement out of timing how long it takes Sam to re-scoop some someone else's scoop on twitter but most of the time I just think #block#

Yeah i know, i said nothing though mate, and i'm gonna stop with the asking for follows! But people do RT for shoutout on twitter anyway. Loads of people do it when they're bored. When you're sat at home revising it's boring mate.

We are trying our best not too mate, very hard and we are coming up with our own ideas now. Try and support us we really dont need the negativity.
This isn't about negativity it's about feedback.

It's a fine line... twitter isn't just about how many followers you have, it's about how interesting you make yourself without having to ask for RT's or follows - people will give RT's without you having to ask for them if what you are saying is noteworthy and hasn't already entered their timeline... I think I went through this with you right at the start.

When you constantly ask for follows and RT's, even if you are bored, you are more likely to end up with as many unfollows/blocks as you are new followers so it cancels itself out.

Just keep plugging away and if your blogs are noteworthy your following will grow organically just don't keep asking people to RT - it smacks of spam...

Oh and asking for follows is a pointless request when the people reading it are already following you - you again just look desperate to your existing twitter base

I assume he is set to sit down due to the shock of a player in the third division being offered a 3.5 year contract. Actually thinking about it wouldn't a 3.5 year contrct take him through to September 2016 which seems a strange time to expire.... I suspect the hand of the oracle...

Thanks (as a contrib). So whomever runs this new blog - why not think of doing something to stand out? Do something that thewashbag.com and the Facebook group or swindon-town-fc.co.uk don't do? What about images/photos - a flickr stream old and new? What about humour/jokes? What about fan video? There aren't Swindon sites doing any of these things. Do something that interests you as you are the ones who will have to put the hours in and it will be bloody boring if you are only doing it because someone stopped.

I believe they decided the cask beer didn't travel well and converted most Southern pubs to nitro-keg. However, in London the cask beer is available in The Chandos, Princess Louise, Cittie of York and The Old Cheshire Cheese. These are all pubs with great character and the Old Brewery Bitter has only just broken through the £2 a pint barrier. I do miss the stronger Museum Ale which used to be available.

That's the attitude eh Tans, support the man - remember it's early days and he is doing well so far.

Why do you keep banging on about the Roberts rumour being true? It was't true at all.

Meh, I'm looking forward to this evenings instalment - the page offers something different and who knows, what he posted might well come true?

Eh? I have posted about that since the loan deadline?

If you can link me to a post since where I have mentioned him then I will hold my hands up.

Don't know what point you are trying to make.

You posted 'scoop' about Jason Roberts. It turned out to be false.

Correct?

Even worse than SONN.

I'm starting a new Swindon site that's Swindon players, past, present and (for Chris) imagined, where we photoshop their faces into bukkake action shots.

It's hard not to call into question the imagination (and subsequent potential for interesting written content) of a man who comes up with the Twitter name 'SwindonK,' the facebook page name 'Swindontownfc21' and the TEF username 'Sam9255.'

@AdverSportCraig: @SwindonK What you're doing at the moment amounts to plagiarism and our legal team will not be impressed. Thanks.

@AdverSportCraig okay, what do you suggest we do then

 Craig Lyus ‏@AdverSportCraig 4h
@SwindonK What I've just requested is fine legally from your point of view.

You may shrug it off with a laugh, and fair play to you for that, but if you did some research you'd find you are missing so many of the basics. Your website (and your social media efforts) just will not work. I can tell you why if you want my criticism to be constructive.

Spend some time on google, stop believing anybody that says they are a sauce, and then try again.

That's a genuine post. Not taking the piss.

Assuming that post was aimed at me BR, I'm not Sam and I don't have anything to do with these sites/pages bar the odd bit of inside info and fwiw I agree with your post.

Swindon websites are well covered with swindon-town-fc and the washbag as well as this forum.
