Title: Deja Bloody Vu
Post by: ScillyRed on Friday, February 1, 2013, 21:51:30
Having supported Town for 42 years I feel I have seen it all - I have, but not in 48 sodding hours.

I have always been in Reg's  'Swindonsceptic Party' - you know there is a train crash around the corner whatever anyone says.

It pains me, but as I don't even get the pleasure (!) of going to matches, I have decided that I don't feel able to read about the inevitable downward spiral and will leave you all to it. In many ways it was easier when Ceefax was the only source of information, you could easily be an Ostrich and just hope it all went well. My wife has called me a miserable old git over the last few days - even more than normal - she should not have to suffer like this  :D

The reason for this post is not self pity but to thank you all for the humour, invention and in some cases hilarious stupidity - it's been a blast, I will miss the 80% bollocks if not the 25% football.

I leave you with a heavy heart.

Who would they be protesting at? the poor fuckers employed by the club know jack all about what is going on, as shown splendidly by the Manager not having a scooby.

Black's probably on a sunny Island by now.

Jed's supping ale with the Banbury massive, so won't hear anything from there.

We don't know who the rest of the new guys are.

Arbib could be dead for all we know.

Could they be the first club owners to be subject of an 'owners out' protest without the fans actually knowing who they are protesting about!

It's a tough one.  You can't really call for them to get out when they areb't in yet, and if anyone shouted it at Black he'd probably just say he's fucking trying as quickly as possible.

Actually, thinking about it, someone must iron some kit at the County Ground, so we could assume there is an Ironing Board we could oust?

I got approached by the bbc wilts bloke with a microphone on the way home yesterday (does the lazy fucker venture beyond the end of vic hill?). Considered it for old times sake but didn't have a scoobies what was going on.

Hope it all works itself out for everybody whatever happens, but remember that football protest organisation is not worth any cost to your physical or mental health. X x

Not been the best week in our history for sure.

Today I climbed out of my sick bed and drove to Crawley feeling crap both physically and mentally from all what has happened this week.

The game was poor for sure but you know what the "old" faces were there, Swindon passion, humour and whatever else you want its the fans that make you carry on.

At the whistle PDC came onto the pitch and clapped "us fans" and you know what "The FL can fuck off, Oxford can fuck off and so can Danny Wilson.
We are were here today and will be next week. This Club must have the biggest swings from depression and success than any other Club and I wouldn't swap my supporting history with any glory hunting premiership arm chair cunt.

"We are Swindon and we are here to stay"

Two fingers up to anything that is thrown at us. PDC is and will always be a god and hope he stays, but today was about being with those Supporters who in a strange way are family and always will be.

As for Jed and the Banbury Massive lets wait and see what happens. Tonight is just another Saturday night after coming back "on the road" what I love doing and still do. Supporting STFC. Tonight nothing drastic has happened and we have to take each day as it comes.

........and was a bonus to be interviewed on SKY and have the chance to say something nationwide about the "special one."

Off to bed now feeling crap but will drop off to sleep hearing the Swindon faithful, seeing Rooney peel away from scoring in front of the fans.

Nothing changes .............Til we Die.

I was standing near the players entrance with Derek from Northampton. I guess they interviewed a few fans and edited it. Nobody else around at that time.
