Title: VPN using BT Home Hub
Post by: Simon Pieman on Friday, January 18, 2013, 08:58:33
Anyone now how the feck you get this working? Tried turning the firewall off to no avail, portforwarded 1723 from what I can find on google but to no avail.

Standard VPN using Win XP, not using Cisco VPN client or similar software, it's just one set up through windows.

Nope, but I might be joining you in this struggle once my remote access gets granted this morning.

Have you tried enabling port clamping?

Settings > Advanced > Broadband > VPN

Cheers Sam, but no it hasn't worked. I've emailed IT but they won't pick it up I doubt!

Turned off webpage help as well, hasn't worked.

It's been suggested to change the DNS server on the laptop, I can't because I don't have the privileges.

Oh well, conference call at 10:30 and I'll do fuck all else today.

Is it a work laptop? Does it have a proxy on? Try turing this off?

It is a work laptop. I can't do shit as I don't have the privileges on my account.

Managed to get the number for the conference call, only 20 minutes. VPN still doesn't work.

Easy day for me then :)
