Richard Key. Reg, was he the goalie Lou Macari got in at the last minute when Scott Endersby refused to play, and played against Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup match we won 1-0. And then Kenny Allen arrived shortly afterwards if I remember. I always remember his brilliant save away at Northampton on a cold Feburary afternoon in 1986 when we won 1-0, curling backwards to tip the ball over the bar. He was a student at the time having left Orient the previous season.

If he'd done well then I'm all for giving youth a chance, just not when they look way, way short of league 1 level.
