Title: Pre Match Entertainment
Post by: mgstfc43 on Sunday, January 13, 2013, 09:34:47
Apparently some tart was offering herself for £30 'a blow'  in a Boscombe bar called 'Mello Mello' (next to Weathespoons) before the game....

Anyone want to own up / care to comment..?

I heard she was doing it as her boyfriend left £5 in the Asda self checkout.

She looked a bit scabby to me and about 16. She was with her mate collecting empty glasses when she wasnt out the back! Apparently at least three Town fans took her up on her £30 offer. Not sure if the two Wiltshire coppers who came into the bar had a go  :) The bar was quite tidy and £2 a pint, one bloke behind the bar did his best to keep up pouring pints whilst getting abuse left, right and centre. The bar was called ......? Florence and right next door to Wetherspoons.........And No I didn't have a go !
Edit, just realised the Percy Florence is Wetherspoons so Mello Mello must of been the bar we were in.

Might of let her smoke the old man but maybe she wasn't offering it to the fat bog eyed blokes with silly hats on?

I really hope they sort out the catering out soon at the GC, both before and during the matches as it's getting beyond a joke now imo.

Did your lot pile out of that white minibus that pulled up opposite the bar? The bloke serving took a lot of stick but it was hard work getting a pint.

The catering has been a constant complaint for as long as I can remember. Aside from the odd wet dog when I'm desperate, I gave up on the food inside the ground ages ago.

If people stopped buying the shit food then something would be done about it. Plenty of decent options just outside the ground or pubs nearby which serve acceptable grub.

Wow! what food do you like to eat? I like a  burger and chips, and always find the burger buns are rock hard and the meat is one lump of fat and it's always served stone cold, and the chips are never fryed long enough and they are always dished out undercooked, but oddly the meat in the pies is like rubber as their over heated, total disgrace at the prices they charge.

i agree  , who goes to the football for the food?, you should know what to expect , its expensive and crap . Eat before you get there or eat when you leave. You aren't gonna die in 90 mins from starvation.

What you pay for....and it at least to be warm...why should it be different because you are at football.

Dont talk wet.....fuck me if you are paying good money then it should be half decent...at Swindon it is shit.
How hard is it to get some pies in and warm them up and make a cuppa coffee for fucks sake.

Exactly , i only live 20mins walk from the ground and will make you a nice hot pie , curly fries and a hot cup of  rich milky  coffee or chockolate for the reasonable price of £3.50 . I could also try and persuade the wife to take you out back for £30

I work in the food game.....the fast food game at that...so I know a bit and especially the margin bit.

How the fuck can you run out of pies at 3:20pm when the away allocation is a sell out? Beggars belief....also at this time there were three people chatting at the back whilst some young in struggled with the grumpy pieless cunts like me...had to have a donkey dog ....and of course NO onions! And...I was lucky to get that as they an out of everything after that.

The CG is just as bad...closing the TE kiosk down after 15 minutes into the second half in an evening game last year...I didn't expect a pie but I did expect to get a boveril....fucking joke. I try and grab a pie or pork roll in the County now. I contacted the club and they told me it wasn't possible to keep the kiosk open????!!!! Why not??? Might be different this season but I wouldn't know theyve lost my trade unless fat cunt Jutty does his usual 'I want to miss a goal, does anybody want anything?' jaunt.

It isnt the hot dogs Jutty, it is BO.....yours you cunt!

You might know your onions Flash, but I'd argue that if someome wants refreshments more than 15 minutes into the second half there's hardly any point in going to the game at all.

The only way things will improve is if sales fall dramatically by people making alternative arrangements. I've never seen the attraction of food at football, tea/coffe maybe.

Good point but I don't want to crushed in a massive queue and being over 40 my prostate isn't what it used to be so after several in the sir dan and cunty i pop back and forth anyway.

I only wanted a bovril...."sorry we are closed"......"Why?"...."We are cashing up".

When I wrote to the club I made the point that Accrington Stanley in a make shift away end were open for 90 minutes and with all due respect being upstaged by a nearly non league club is an embarrassment.

I was sent from Digby's bar to the Junior Robins room where there was a temporary bar set up which seems a good idea to get a few extra pounds in. I think Jed was in there but I'm not sure. Also additional program sellers by the turnstiles to entice a few more quid to the club. All in all there seemed to be some good ideas out there last night.

A friend of mine is keen to stop the music before kick off to build up an atmosphere. They did it away at Preston last year and it just sounded like a dull empty stadium. The County Ground would be the same. Most fans that come down here don't bring big numbers and are pretty quiet, and our singing consists of the same shit from the town end over and over. I'd rather watch 40 year old men jump around to a bit of Madness. At least I get a laugh out of it.

Its killed the "tra la fuck off "moment.

I remember the moment where, about the age of 14, I realised that every other team chanted their side's name at the end of that little jingle. I think it might be just about the only unique thing we have, which is amusing.
