Title: Bolton Wanderers Post by: wokinghamred on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 18:49:28 I wonder how that tw*t Gartside feels about promotion between the PL and the FL now. Still think there should be no promotion, Phil? Or maybe just Bolton should be able to be promoted back to the Premier League. Enjoy sorting out your £100m debts, won't you? Title: Re: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: Frigby Daser on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 18:51:00 What did Gartside say?
Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: wokinghamred on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 18:52:40 He wanted a two tier Premier League, and no relegation/promotion between the PL/FL.
Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: Arriba on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 18:53:16 They will bounce back i'm sure.
Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: Batch on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 18:56:52 His twattish comments ultimately did OK for Bolton. They now have 5 years of parachute payments.
Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: chalkies_shorts on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 19:07:50 Gartside can eat shit.

Is that more or less than Oxford? Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: Arriba on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 19:24:43 Gartside was trying to protect his own clubs interest. Yeah he was wrong, but i don't hate him or Bolton for it
Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: Matchworn Shirts on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 19:25:05 shite club, no fans
Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: Posh Red on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 19:26:42 Gartside was trying to protect his own clubs interest. Yeah he was wrong, but i don't hate him or Bolton for it Just like scally did for the pikeys on their brief foray into the championship. I hope that Bolton suffer the same fate. Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: wokinghamred on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 19:39:45 I hate him for it.
The people at the top of the game should run it for the good of the game, not for their own selfish interests Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: otanswell on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 20:00:38 I wonder how that tw*t Gartside feels about promotion between the PL and the FL now. Ha, I was thinking this earlier. That'll teach the smug cunt Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: Ardiles on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 20:38:12 I hate him for it. The people at the top of the game should run it for the good of the game, not for their own selfish interests Completely agree. Gartside is a disgrace. Clubs like ours would have paid a heavy price under his plans. He had no right or mandate to alter the principle of promotion on merit. Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: Batch on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 20:39:06 As they said on the radio earlier, Gartside supported the 39th game. Looks like he got his wish :)
Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: TheMajorSTFC on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 20:52:54 Can't see Bolton coming back up for a while...still amazes me how Wigan got out of it though!
Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: tans on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 20:58:43 Can't see Bolton coming back up for a while...still amazes me how Wigan got out of it though! They do it every yeqr! Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: thedarkprince on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 21:00:57 Depends on who leaves, they've been playing some half decent football of late (post-Muamba) but they had that nightmare start that ultimately did for them.
If they can hang on to the bulk of the squad (tbh, who would want most of their players anyway?) then I reckon they could bounce back at the first attempt. Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: Flashheart on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 21:02:50 Why do Prem clubs get this parachute payment anyway?
Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: DRS on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 21:11:29 I like wigan.I find alot of the stick they get a bit unjust
Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: otanswell on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 21:13:07 Why do Prem clubs get this parachute payment anyway? I wonder this too. Its as if you get paid for being shit! Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: Ardiles on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 21:28:03 I think it's a recognition of the fact that relegated clubs will still have Premier League overheads. They need a few years to scale their costs back to a more manageable level. Avoids clubs gambling to stay up and then going bust. So I can see why the payments exist. I'd just question whether £40m over 4 years is really necessary.
Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: Flashheart on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 21:32:06 Avoids clubs gambling to stay up and then going bust. A payment that give you tons of money if you go up avoids clubs making the gamble. Are you sure? Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: Arriba on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 22:12:44 looking at the highlights they were robbed today
Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: joteddyred on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 23:01:01 looking at the highlights they were robbed today Yep, a blatant foul on the goalie for Stoke's first and the penalty was harsh. Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: jayohaitchenn on Sunday, May 13, 2012, 23:16:35 Makes it all the sweeter :) hahahhahahahhahaha FUCK OFF GARTSIDE
Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: THE FLASH on Monday, May 14, 2012, 06:20:39 I like wigan.I find alot of the stick they get a bit unjust AND finished clear above the mighty Villa! Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: Posh Red on Monday, May 14, 2012, 08:16:53 looking at the highlights they were robbed today But no more so than QPR were at Bolton when a clear goal was not given. Bye bye Gartside Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: kerry red on Monday, May 14, 2012, 09:04:39 It is very encouraging though to see the likes of Swansea and Norwich to survive quite easily and also Reading make it back there.
If, and it's a big if, we can carry on sorting the club out on and off the pitch and revamp the CG, maybe we could become a similar club. Title: Re: Bolton Wanderers Post by: LucienSanchez on Monday, May 14, 2012, 09:17:00 Although i think Bolton were on the receiving end of bad decisions yesterday, that one game didn't get them relegated - a whole season of average to poor results put paid to that, as well Coyle knows.
