Title: David James Post by: sheepshagger on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 08:30:43 Article in The Sun today (must be true :) )
Apparently Paolo is going to sign him after his release from Shitty today !!! Title: Re: David James Post by: Samdy Gray on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 08:32:58 Fodders > James
Bullshit story. Title: Re: David James Post by: Arriba on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 08:37:08 He's looked awful in highlights i've seen this season
Title: Re: David James Post by: Leggett on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 08:40:19 Hope not, Fods needs games to get better, don't see the point in benching a decent youngster to play an old shit eco-warrior.
Title: Re: David James Post by: Peter Venkman on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 08:42:31 Absolute horse shit, he is on a rumoured £40k a week at Shitty and they can't wait to get rid of him, the only capacity he could come in is would be goalkeeping coach.
Title: Re: David James Post by: kerry red on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 09:01:33 I'd rather have Sid James - and he's fucking dead
Title: Re: David James Post by: Matchworn Shirts on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 09:04:46 I'd rather have Mattia Lanzano
Title: Re: David James Post by: Batch on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 09:21:29 Could be a decent back up if Phil Smith is moving on.
I think his expertise in dropping the ball at crucial moments and having over inflated worth could be crucial for any team. Seriously, fuck off with this BS deal unless its in a coaching capacity. Wes is a better prospect and probably just better anyway. There is a reason the slave traders dropped James. Title: Re: David James Post by: Chubbs on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 09:23:29 hes past it
Title: Re: David James Post by: Ardiles on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 09:29:12 How strange...mentioned him in another thread this morning. Would seem a very strange signing.
Title: Re: David James Post by: Reg Smeeton on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 09:31:44 How strange...mentioned him in another thread this morning. Would seem a very strange signing. Next big name manager? Only a sort of player manager, he could cover the bench. Title: Re: David James Post by: Batch on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 09:36:32 Next big name manager? Only a sort of player manager, he could cover the bench. Some player manager appointments inspire (hoddle), some not so much (McMahon). James would feel like a disappointment to me, though clearly there is no real reason as to draw such a conclusion. But that's hypothetical. There is no suggestion of anything like this happening. Title: Re: David James Post by: Reg Smeeton on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 09:47:17 Some player manager appointments inspire (hoddle), some not so much (McMahon). James would feel like a disappointment to me, though clearly there is no real reason as to draw such a conclusion. But that's hypothetical. There is no suggestion of anything like this happening. Indeed it's just a thought.... Title: Re: David James Post by: Peter Venkman on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 10:04:11 Probably very very lazy journalism, they have picked up that Paolo dropped Wes last week.....alarm bells ringing that Swindon need a new keeper and then they picked up that Paolo played with James for a few years at West Ham......put 2 and 2 together and came up with 44.
Title: Re: David James Post by: Cibocchi_Is_God on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 10:08:15 Would be OK could act as a kind of player-coach, sitting on the bench. What club wouldnt want an ex England international passing on experience to their younger players?
Title: Re: David James Post by: Arriba on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 10:09:52 Next big name manager? Only a sort of player manager, he could cover the bench. If di canio fucks off it will be ling-taylor-bodin i'm sure Title: Re: David James Post by: Cibocchi_Is_God on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 10:11:55 If di canio fucks off it will be ling-taylor-bodin i'm sure Really wouldnt be keen on that, not a massive fan of ex players coming back. (Even though Ling is a decent manager) Title: Re: David James Post by: Peter Venkman on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 10:17:55 What club wouldnt want an ex England international passing on experience to their younger players? Bristhole Shitty obviously! :DTitle: Re: David James Post by: mrverve on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 10:20:14 Could work as back up to Wes, with Bedwell and Scott still here aswell could be good for them. If it happens I think it would be if Smith left though.
Title: Re: David James Post by: Arriba on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 10:22:21 The youth keeper(bedwell) will be a pro next year. We wont need another back up keeper apart from him.
Title: Re: David James Post by: mrverve on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 10:24:36 The youth keeper(bedwell) will be a pro next year. We wont need another back up keeper apart from him. Bedwell will probably go out on loan. Next year will be a big one for Scott. Title: Re: David James Post by: Arriba on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 10:26:48 Bedwell will probably go out on loan. Next year will be a big one for Scott. forgot him. Even more reason why we wont need James. Don't think Smith will want a move but may be forced to by the looks of it. Title: Re: David James Post by: DV on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 12:16:12 As Paolo was at West Ham with James - then he'll know, he's fucking awful....
Title: Re: David James Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 12:17:48 If di canio fucks off it will be ling-taylor-bodin i'm sure I think so as well.Never been a fan of David James. Can't stand him. Title: Re: David James Post by: Nomoreheroes on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 14:16:14 Also that Lanzano had a 2 year contract didn't he? Not saying he is any good, but if we are paying him....
Title: Re: David James Post by: Peter Venkman on Sunday, May 6, 2012, 12:39:21 I see David James is interested in the Boremuff managers job.
May do well for them he is an intelligent person if not a very good keeper. Title: Re: David James Post by: ronnie21 on Sunday, May 6, 2012, 13:42:16 Hasn't he applied for Curly Withers job - the only way he'll get to Wembley again!
Title: Re: David James Post by: chalkies_shorts on Sunday, May 6, 2012, 20:16:52 I see David James is interested in the Boremuff managers job. He thinks he's intelligent - don't know if he actually is. He can prove it well away from the CG. May do well for them he is an intelligent person if not a very good keeper. Title: Re: David James Post by: DRS on Sunday, May 6, 2012, 20:37:31 To be fair many said the same of paolo chalkie.Never quite understood the hatred of james.Honest pro never really in the press for the wrong thing,Racists.
Title: Re: David James Post by: Panda Paws on Sunday, May 6, 2012, 21:00:34 Probably very very lazy journalism, they have picked up that Paolo dropped Wes last week.....alarm bells ringing that Swindon need a new keeper and then they picked up that Paolo played with James for a few years at West Ham......put 2 and 2 together and came up with 44. Indeed. Was first mentioned in Bristol Evening Post last week. Methinks agent trying to find client club near south west home .... Title: Re: David James Post by: Summerof69 on Sunday, May 6, 2012, 21:07:21 If Paolo went to the board saying that we need to sign Calamity James, I would show him the video of James punching the ball into his own net against Watford.
City fans I know at work said their season improved as soon as he was dropped, and that he is passed it. He had to go off early in their last game of the season due to injury, and City, like Paolo normally does, didn't have a reserve keeper on the bench. We shouldn't sign an injury prone keeper on big money who is past it Title: Re: David James Post by: Arriba on Sunday, May 6, 2012, 21:52:02 I honestly can see no reason why we'd go for James.
Title: Re: David James Post by: yeo on Sunday, May 6, 2012, 22:28:49 If we sign him i'm never going again..
Well maybe 3 or 4 games but apart from that i'm definitly not going oh and any exciting FA Cup Games apart from that though obviously i'm not including Wembley Cup finals in this either... Title: Re: David James Post by: Notts red on Sunday, May 6, 2012, 22:51:12 If we sign him i'm never going again.. And or course away games which are different :)Well maybe 3 or 4 games but apart from that i'm definitly not going oh and any exciting FA Cup Games apart from that though obviously i'm not including Wembley Cup finals in this either... Title: Re: David James Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Monday, May 7, 2012, 07:11:39 All you need to know about David James. The comment from Tony Gubba says it all...
