I know I am going to regret asking this but has anyone had it done ?

If so, whats it like ? Does it hurt ? Can you still put out candles ?

I had it done about 15 years ago, some let you get put out for it but I wasn't I was awake watching them do it.

The injection is a wee bit painful as its directly into the scrotum but the operation itself doesn't hurt but you can feel them pulling the tubes to cut them and tie them but its not a pain as such its just a wierd feeling.

Hurts for a day or 2 after but wear 2 pairs of tight pants, 2 sizes too small as the tighter they are kept the better.

After a month you won't notice any difference and it can actually aid your staying power in bed.

Same here.  I didn't read the advice and wore boxers and shorts for a few days afterwards, and as a result was in serious pain for about a week.  You really do need to wear the tightest underwear you can get hold of.  Speedo's would be ideal!

Holy hell the very thought of the jab in the nuts then the cutting and tying makes me feel squeamish.

i had it done last year, injection in the bean smarted a little, they use a technique where instead of cutting they laser the not so hairy bean bag open :-[, same with the tubes, then stitch you back up, then they keep you in a room making you tea or coffee and give you endless amounts of biscuits for half hour to make sure all is ok, i didnt have any swelling, and managed to secure the plastering of the the hallway of the sweet old nurse :nod:

Seriously, I had it done at a walk-in Doctor's surgery ten years ago and was awake throughout, I can really only remember watching the stitches afterwards and my toes curling. There was a load of blood on the bed which I wasnt meant to see.
As someone said earlier make sure you wear Speedos to keep it all "tightly packed" and don't lift anything or run for a couple of days...Its well worth getting it done apart from having to take a bottle of freshly squeezed jizz to get checked out afterwards. ??? :-[

Had it done over in Highworth. For me the procedure itself was less painful than a filling at the dentist.

Afterwards I was lucky, I have a desk job so rested well over the weekend (with tight pants) and back to work Monday. Mild discomfort for a few days but nothing more.

Obviously other people have worse experiences....

Mate at work had it done a few years ago and phoned us at work afterwards to say he could not walk and could not get home from the surgery. Two of us had to prop him up walking like John Wayne, lay him in the back of the works van, take him home (very slowly) and shove him in the door. After this I decided not for me!

Had mine done in highworth too. The most painful thing I've ever done! He had trouble with the left ball and it bled for ages. I couldn't walk and was off work for 2 days. I still get pain from the left one, even now.

Apart from that it was a piece of cake.

A friend of mine has his done in Swindon. The doc dropped his foreceps on the floor and took his tubes with it.

It was discussed when I was with my ex wife. We had one child and I thought we'd have at least another. We never did and eventually got divorced. My left bollock swelled up to the size of a small melon before I left theatre, and didn't go down for a week. I was off work nearly two weeks with a doctors note.

This.  Only word of advice would be, get somebody to drive you home and then lay down in bed for the next few hours and don't move too much.  Apart from a couple of black plums for a few days you will be fine.

Oh, and if you are having it done upstairs next to a bus route, make sure the blinds aren't open and there is not a bus stop outside, it can be a tad embarrasing, trust me! ;-)

The reassuring dulcet tones beforehand that 'it's a simple procedure' and that 'you'll only experience slight discomfort' afterwards was one of the most misleading statements ever put to me by someone in the medical profession.

When they cut tubes - ouch - though not as painful as when the anesthetic wears off - was off work for a week at least. Still have the occasional pain years later.

I had it done a few years ago at the Doctors surgery in Windsor Road. Was quite a bizarre experience really, lying there with trousers round the ankles, doctor & nurse poking around the ball bag, quite relaxed, chatting about mobile phones I think.
Had a bit of pain for a day or 2, bruising went after about a week. Only real problem I had was flushing the live ones out of the system - took about 8 months of shagging (I'm married, so that means 8 shags) and regular tugging before I got the all clear.

Personally, I am rather adverse to the thought of sharp objects near my meat and two veg.

It can be reversed in theory but it is not 100% guarenteed to be successful. On the flip side, there are rare cases where the tubes re-attach themselves and reverse it naturally, but this is very rare.

I got mine done on the NHS, but I think its more common these days to pay a small fee - dont think its based on size of your bollocks though  :D

I have a little sister who's existence proves that reversal can work...

Now, if the commentary previous makes your eyes water, I have it on good authority from an ex-colleague that the reattachment procedure is even more painful.  So much so that they have to do it under general anaesthetic... *gulp*

Actually I had mine done exactly 20 years ago yesterday! I know that because I had to miss the home game with Middlesboro on Feb 29th 1992 and that pissed me off as I was a season ticket holder then!

I was 26 at the time and had filled 2 prams and decided that was enough and I never regret that decision not for 1 minute, I have since left my ex wife and married a new one who has not got any kids of her own (her 2 are adopted) and the fact that I cannot father any more has not come into the equation at all, she doesnt want any and I don't want any more.
