Excellent journeyman striker who always punched above his weight even at the top level.   

He was never afraid of a small club (inc. the Pox) or a relegation fight and I hope he finds plenty to fight for and recovers well now.

You can tell the professional players who really enjoy playing football, and I think they find it harder to come to terms with retirement when it comes.
