I nominate homo sapiens. Whilst not armed with poison, big teeth or horns this killer is lethal as it has a brain. (Or in some cases half a brain). This means that whilst in a straight fight it will normally lose to other predators, over time it manages to dominate other species so much that it will bring them to the verge of extinction. 

Are the fights one on one or are we mobbing up ?  If the latter I'll second the wild dogs, although it'll be a marathon not a sprint with them as they just run their prey into the ground.

Look pretty cool doesn't it? Those Blue Rings can pulsate on the body too.

Well if you pick one of these fuckers up you'll live (or not as the case will probably be) to regret it. Like Mark Fowler's penis, it's 5 to 8 inches in length and there's no cure for the poison it delivers. It has enough toxin to kill 20-odd humans within minutes. If you get done by one of these you are paralysed, there is no antivenom. You'll stop breating and die. The only cure is to put you on a respirator and wait many many hours for the poison to wear off.

They usually hunt crabs and the like by paralysing them and then sucking out their inards after breaking the shell with their beak.

Just read that the cape Buffalo is responsible for more deaths in Africa each year than any other animal. Also the Asian cobra is responsible for most of the 50,000 snakebite deaths in India each year. FIFTY THOUSAND??!!  ??? ???

Well if you want the animal that causes most deaths we should be looking at the Mosquito. Only topped by Human Beings.

Really a pussy in the snake world.  The Inland Taipan, Tiger snake or Black Mamba are far more aggressive and venomous than a King Cobra.  King Cobra's rarely inject their full dose of venom which is weak in comparison.
