District 13 Ultimatum is on. Though I have forgotten it is subtitled so doing work at the same time may no longer happen

I never knew there was a sequel! I took my g/f to see the original at the cinema by mistake thinking it was something different (I forget what but she wasn't pleased). Will have to try and watch it at some point

And dumbass here thought it was a sequel to District 9. Oh well.

The sequel is just as good as the first.

I'm currently shitting it in advance of my exam on Thursday.

Also worrying about little one whose lip currently resembles that of a boxer.

Good luck for the exam.

What happened to little one to get a swollen lip? Alergy?

District 9 was based on District 13. They obviously replaced the French with aliens though. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Always worrying but kid bounce.

My first tripped and hit his head on a bookshelf speaker, it looked like there was a hole in his head. I shat it a bit, but he was fine. Other than the scar he still has now.

Evening Davey.

I've also been drinking, although less spectacularly and in less a exciting venue. I should probably go to  bed but FM is very much calling.

YESSSS

I don't really know what to say. I'm not drunk enough to act a fool, but not sober enough to keep up a facade of decorum.

I hope you all have long and fertile lives xx

Am I supposed to be drunk for a lnt? I never am, just haven't got the idea have I. Just checked into holiday inn express Walsall. Tomorrow I go to wolves to start the Motörhead uk subs and anti nowhere league tour. It's the only time I ever feel young. 65 years olds rocking out. Dear god.

Don't worry Nash, I've just spent hours scratching my head as to why a brilliant report I've designed didn't work to realise the data is corrupt. Had I found out sooner I could have spent 5 minutes getting it to work instead of hours.

Oh well, at least I can get a few hours sleep now.

I went out with a friend this evening and she told me a story where she was offered a lift home by some guy a few years ago, when they got to her place, she went to the kitchen to get a drink. When she got back he had removed all his clothes and was 'giving himself a good time' in front of the window where the neighbours could see.

He did not ask for a hand, aparently she said its OK, just don't make a mess on my sofa. And left him too it

It could be that I am sooo pissed but that made me laugh SO much :D

there was another story, but god knows what it was

I think someone should invent an app that breathalises you before it lets you send texts.

Drunk texting only ever leads to problems.

I remember my 23 season long cm97/98 game. It scares me that we're nearly half way their in real life. I suppose we've got back to the future 2 reality to get past first though.

holy fuck dude. That's too much playing.

Think I read the other day that you are going to do a zelda marathon in readiness for skyward sword? Which ones are you going to do?

I'm thinking Original, Awakening, LttP, Ocarina, maybe Majora, maybe Twiglet Princess. I sort of fancy doing the two GBC Oracle games, but I've never played them properly. Not got a copy of the Gamecube one so that's out. Never liked Zelda 2 whenever I've tried it.

I'll probably just play LttP and Awakening to be honest.

It's definitely up there. Certainly the best zelda game, although I have a soft spot for Link's Awakening just for what it packs into a gameboy game.

It's aged a lot better than Ocarina of Time too. Early 3d games in general seem fairly clunky now (with exceptions - mario64 I love you). Not that Ocarina is bad. I haven't played the new 3ds version though, so don't know if that improves it.

Main thing with LttP for me is the gameplay. Not too easy and not too difficult. You get told just enough so you can figure out what to do next without it being obvious. Just as you think you're making progress to the end the dark world opens up and you realise you're still closer to the beginning. Graphics still hold up and the music is still one of the best soundtracks ever.

I never liked the jump to 3D, especially the more realistic graphics - always thought Zelda should be more cartoon style. Hence why I was one of the few that loved Wind Waker, only one of the 3D games I've spent more than an hour playing.

The thing the zelda games do best is that whole bit where you get a new ability (picking up rocks / charging through bricks / hookshot), and then you can go back to all those places that you couldn't get to before and find cool stuff like chests full of rubees and pieces of heart; and to be honest, just generally explore.

Link to the past does that by far the best, plus all the going backwards and forwards between the two worlds giving you even more bits to discover, and the nice pixel graphics still looks amazing today. It's one hell of a game.

I feel like replaying it now. It's going on the list.

Not really too much playing - I had new PC at the time and compared to the recent version CM01/02 was so basic and so quick. You could do a season in about an hour or two I reckon.

I want to do a Zelda marathon but cant right now - come November the 28th Christmas Pressure kicks in at work, so I will probably be working 12 hour days, 7 days a week - which doesnt leave much time for Zelda playing.

Honestly, I'd love to do them all - in chronological order (as in the order the games are supposed to be rather than the order they were released) but I as I only have N64 and a Wii that could be difficult - although I expect I cant get the NES, SNES and Gamecube games on Wii virtual console

I've only got Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess at the moment - I think I played 11 hours into Twilight Princess and that was it.
