Title: Re: JPT Post by: leefer on Sunday, July 31, 2011, 10:49:55 So, what's everyones opinion on the JPT? Dont like it,never have done and it should be a trophy for non league teams to do battle for...two cups and the league is more than enough in my opinion. Title: Re: JPT Post by: Barry Scott on Sunday, July 31, 2011, 10:52:35 I agree with leefer. It's a pain in the arse and an inconvenience that few have any interest in. We should be allowed to field whatever team we like and then we can simply make it a youth/reserves cup.
Title: Re: JPT Post by: Batch on Sunday, July 31, 2011, 11:25:23 JPT offers a way to Wembley. But now we've been there I don't really want to go back*. However if the club win the JPT they get some cash.
So in summary its shit unless we win it. * as in I'd rather finals were elsewhere, I'm not saying I don't want to get to another final. Title: Re: JPT Post by: Costanza on Sunday, July 31, 2011, 11:46:41 I certainly agree that there shouldn't be as tight restrictions for squad selection. It's a perfect way to give a second choice player a valuable first team run-out.
As a competition for lower league clubs I believe that there can be some use to it but I don't really like the format. I would also argue that Wembley is too big for the JPT. |
