Know Batch put a link up but for those who havn't seen it.

Number three caught my eye for some reason :D
Weather is good though no doubt parking will be an issue
Players training at 12 will give me a chance to try and recognise a few of the newbies.

Yup, looks like a good effort from the club.

Events like this demonstrate how well run the club is these days.

Fantastic set up, I went to one of the first and it was pretty much an amateurish affair compared to this! I didn't realise they had organised so much, with lots of stalls etc.

Brilliant, went along with the family, they are not footy mad like me but they loved it,great effort by all because it was a very enjoyable time.

Went to see a bit of the training and was intending to spend a bit of time there, go do something else then go back so my lad could be in the biggest team photo ever.

What actually happened was I ended up staying 12-4:30 (couldn't convince the Mrs to stay for the legends game), bought two shirts and a T-shirt and had a thoroughly good time. A real testament to how this has improved. Nice one club.

Only disappointment was that couldn't really hear PDC being interviewed properly.  Squad numbers were announced, Lanzano is #1, Ferry is #8, I think Flint is a low number and was it Ritchie was #10, and messi 21.

Anywho, he also repeated every game we give 100% but against Oxford its 200 or 300%. He said some managers say derby games are just like any other, but no they aren't..

Ferry looks like Guile from Street Fighter in that 3rd pic.

Sounds like it was a great day. Bit of a shame I didn't drag my arse off of the sofa, but late shifts fucking drain me.

Sounds like a top day.

I may make the effort to get up to Swindon close season next year.

A very very good day. I think making the the club accessible like this is a good way of appeasing fans for last year and it will definitely go a long way to putting bums on seats come August the 6th. I was very impressed with how the players were interacting with the fans, brilliant attitudes all round.

Some things I learnt about the players this afternoon:

- Kevin Amankwaah and Aden Flint are man mountains
- Michael Timlin is a genuinely nice bloke
- Simon Ferry is taller than me

I popped along to get my season tickets and watched some of the goings on.
Thoroughly tenjoyed the afternoon. Well done to the club. It will have helped towards the goodwill that is at the moment sky high again. (In my view)

Could of done with a couple more speakers further back but the club probably didn't expect that many people/ fans to attend. Hopefully it gave the management and players a real buzz knowing they have come to a club that although are in div 2 are still very well supported. Didn't stay for the 5-a-side final, how did the ex pro's get on?

The majority are seemingly embracing the new 'era'. I just hope the supporters faith is both vocal in the stands and, obviously, eventually rewarded with success on the pitch.

Took the family today and really enjoyed it.

Most comments already made in the thread however liked at the end of Di Canio's speach all of the mangement team got into a "huddle" the sign of a real team.
Di Canio what a Man Manager.....certainly got some laughs with the squad, never knew we signed Messi.

Players were great especially with the kids. Risser looks strong and what you want from a midfielder. He came across a decent lad.

Looking forward now to the big kick off and eldest boy loved his new shirt. Little one just wanted to be with his Godfather Rockin Robin. :)

Just thought I'd add that again, me + family had a good day there aswell, planned on spending a couple of hours there but ending up staying from 12pm-5pm. Got some decent bargains in the Adidas sale - a pair of last seasons trackie bottoms, shorts and away socks and 3rd kit socks for a total of £21.

Plenty of freebies about for the kids from various stalls and enough to keep the kids that aren't into football so much interested (wish I was small enough to go on the mini quad bikes!!)

Missed the start of the Legends match but they scored more goals when I was watching, Di Canio was playing for the legends too, nice seeing him playing in the Swindon shirt, (if only he was a few years younger).

 :)

Chill baby......Good to see the Mangement team as one after the shambles of last season.
My Mrs told me yesterday during Di Canio's speech that she saw at least 2 Men wiping away the tears. Not Me.
Pleased Di Canio will add some spice to the big game on the 21st Aug.

What did PDC say regarding the Oxford game?

With a slight Italia. twang and fire in his eyes.....Who's up for beating these yellow knights from the City of spires.....ANYONE?.........ANY FUCKING ONE!

With that the local neighbourhood police asked him to calm down because of the kids :D

He said that the players will be putting 200 or maybe 300% effort and that it wasnt just another match, its important to win it.

Just saw some of the footage from the Open Day on Sky Sports News.

A really impressive crowd. One of our interviewed fans believes that PDC can take us to the Prem. I wish I could share that optimism! L1 will do for now.

I was there for work.Seemed a big turnout which was great to see.

The chaos that ensued when the players were signing autographs was fun.Oliver Risser was forced back into the sweet shop and was getting people to guess the number of sweets in a jar, seemed a nice chap  :)
