So, what's everyones favourite tipple?

Are you a beer, spirits or wine guy/gal?

I've ran out of beer and cider and have no wine in the house, so I am currently drinking gin and tonic.
Might have some whisky soon  :toocool:

Beer, Ale, Wine. I can't drink spirits straight, and i'm trying to tone down by spirit-mixer usage because I can't handle it too well tbqfh

I only really drink Wine these days,if I go out ill drink beerlager but I cant afford to go out anymore than 4 times a year :(

Ale, always Ale.... At the moment I'm drinking a bottle of Old Thumper (Ringwood Brewery) and to be quite frank its...er...horrible.

Won't be buying that again.

I am a Cider drinker, to coin a phrase.

Although I'm currently drinkling a bottle of lager that was opened in order to Beer Batter the Fish for dinner. It's "Czech Premium Lager" from the Co-Op and I can only review it in that it seems nicer than most Lagers, which I really have never got the hang of.

A nice cold pint of Cider goes down well in the summer, but then so does a pint of Kronenberg, Amstel or Peroni.

Any European lager/beer is miles better than the usual shit like fosters, carling etc...

Tend to drink Guinness in the winter or when at the races, and the odd drop of good red wine always goes down well.

And when there is no room for any more, Vodka is always a good way to round off a session.

I'll drink virtually anything available from most off licences. Apart from neat vodka.

Don't touch spirits - anything else is fair game. White wine is a big fave.

Always feel a bit of a wanker saying I drink 'ale', but you have to sometimes because 'beer' also covers lager in the minds of some people...and I think of beer/ale and lager as two very different drinks.  I do occasionally drink lager in summer, but 99% of the time it's a beer (IPA in summer usually; tend to go for the darker styles like porter etc. in winter.)  I love the way that you can travel up & down the country and see local pubs supporting their local breweries.  Swindon pubs are full of Wiltshire beer, for example, as well as some that travel further.

Although on a hot day I have the odd lager or cider.

Vodka, lemonade and lime is my tipple.  I don't mind a glass or two of white wine, but any more than that and my head is pounding the next day!

I'm having an alcohol free weekend after being extremely poorly last weekend due to over indulgence of vodka and a silly amount of shots of god knows what!

Usually cider, but tonight it's red wine.

There's a bottle of Jagermeister in the cupboard if I need it later.

 Last sat, I bizarrely discovered the delights of Danzy Jones, a Welsh whiskey liqueur, courtesy of my new Czech lady chum.

Bitter/ale for me if I have any choice - prefer dark beers/malty beers to overly hoppy ones, but will drink some of the "golden" type ales in hot weather.

To earn a bit more money while my business is getting going I have taken a job as a tour guide at Wadworth's - the guided tasting sessions at the end are great - getting paid to drink beer!

i'm not a member of CAMRA but i'm an ale drinker too.  had maybe 4 lagers in the last 2 months.. i prefer a darker ale but am happy enough with a lighter one

usually ale, with the occasional red stripe or wine or spirits. i've rambled. i blame white wine

I don't drink much lager, too gassy. If i'm out i'll drink Guinness or ale/bitter.
At home, I drink wine, sometimes Stella, cider, gin, whisky, pretty much anything really.

Some good ale pubs in Swindon like The Glue Pot & Beehive, although the Beehive has seem to have gotten really expensive.

Lager first, San Miguel of course, got to be bottled. Spirits, vodka and coke, Baileys with ice, Zamaretto neat

I had some Peroni the other night, absolute gnats piss.
There are some proper crap lagers out there; Carling, Fosters & Budweiser to name but a few.

The level I just did through a fluke I gave up on, for about 2/3 weeks because i got all despondent about it.

Lager and Stout normaly. Althogh tongiht I've been on the old rakija. BOOM

Beer- Peroni, and recently ive taken a liking to the lightly carbonated bud.
Spirits- Vodka mixer (normaly red bull) also partial to an amaretto and jeagerbombs

I also love a nice crabbies out in the sun.

Happy to drink lager, bitter, stout, porter...so long as it's good.

My preference is always for the darker stuff.  Fuller's London Porter is lovely.  Just got back from Germany and discovered this little beauty (http://www.klosterbrauerei.com/html.php/modul/HTMLPages/pid/136).  I am happy to drink good lager (Czech or German, mainly), as well as dark lagers (again the Czechs and Germans can do the biz here).

Badger's Poacher's Choice is great too.

Oh yeah, and Bath Ales Festivity (a good reason for Christmas to come around).

A god port is hard to beat.

You may keep Hoegarrden though its too gingery and lemony for my tastes, can't beat a good strong Belgian beer, something over 10% is my fave.

I have usually got an unfortunate driving/kids in tow situation on match days - I will have to try and get the wife to act as taxi one day.

Ive been drinking Doom Bar quite a bit up Old Town, like it a lot, so I bought a box from Majestic. But I think its been giving me a runny nose the next day.

Some people say the 'Reinheitsgebot' thing is rubbish, but I very rarely wake up with anything more than a dry mouth with those beers.

Ive got a great selection in the fridge, its saturday night and Im off to go pick one now. From Paulaner Helles, Becks, London Pride, Doom Bar, 1 x Fruh Kolsch and 1 Franzikaner wheat beer.

You're totally right. I've found if you stick to clean German beer and you often wake hangover-less. We spent a long weekend in Germany and had day sessions several days on the trot and I never had anything that could be classed as a hangover, despite having no idea how I got back to the hotel.

I was a die hard lager drinker for years up until a couple of years ago when I suddenly started to struggle with the gassiness. So after trying a few real ales at a beer festival, decided to give ale a go and now very rarely drink lager. As someone else has said, its great to go into a new pub somewhere and try a new ale, whether a dark porter or light summery ale. Not a member of CAMRA, have considered it, but its the stereotypical beardy folky sandal wearing type that puts me off.

Guinness and cider are my drinks of choice. Or vodka mixed with mountain dew energy

I've developed a bit of a taste for Guinness recently, culminating on Saturday night in my first full session on the stuff, never had a worse dump than yesterday morning.

Guinness is very expensive out here.

On another note, our cricket club have got Peroni on tap now. £4 a pint is hardly suprising for such a drop but the members price offers a whopping 5p discount at £3.95 a jar. Robbing cunts.

I'll drink most stuff apart from Rum - makes me feel sick.
