Title: Scrapping my car Post by: ibelieveinmrreeves on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, 12:14:42 So I'm going to scrap my old Skoda, have looked around on the net and have an idea of how to go about it. The website Cartakeback.com have offered me £155 to come and collect the car, which sounds too good to be true. They look pretty legit, just wondering if anyone here has an experience with them?

Had a quick google, catakeback look OK (legit) but seem to be a broker that pass on the car to dismantlers (scrap yards). Hence why you may get more direct. Or may not.. I guess you googled this already. RESULT.
it's been sat in my mum's garage for the past 11 years and they'll still take it Title: Re: Scrapping my car Post by: ibelieveinmrreeves on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, 13:25:13 Title: Re: Scrapping my car Post by: sheepshagger on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, 13:37:04 Does that involve tongues ?

Title: Re: Scrapping my car Post by: ibelieveinmrreeves on Saturday, April 2, 2011, 14:58:06 Loads of stuff wrong with it, I'd have felt bad listing all its faults and trying to sell it to someone. As it is, they came and got my car to scrap and did indeed pay me £155. Absolute bonus.
