Title: Fire, Fire, everywhere, but I can't find anything to light a cigarette on.
Post by: flammableBen on Monday, March 21, 2011, 05:10:08
Ahh.. Sunday night. The night I stream old doctor who off Dailymotion whilst chatting to other geeks on IRC combined with drinking too much wine. All was going well, until about 4am, when I decided to go to bed. I went to check the front door was locked (it wasn't), when I pushed it open I could smell a sort of burnt out fireworky smell. Didn't think much of it.

It did however put me in the mood for a cigarette, so I went out the back for one pre-bed time. On lighting up whilst heading out the back door I'm confronted with a very bright flickering flood of light lights over the end of my back fence.

To start off with I thought the house over the alley between must be having a big bonfire or something (at 4am on a monday morning? who knows), but sneaking a look over the fence I was confronted with a very on fire motorcycle shooting out fire like fuck knows. Can't have been there too long, it was placed perfectly upside down.

Ran round the front way to have a proper look (in which I caught it fall down and do a mini bangsplosion), called the fire brigade, but unfortunately (well not really) by the time I got around to taking pictures it had gone down a fair bit.

Fire Brigade came around and put it out, although it took them longer to navigate through the tightly parked cars. Fireman told me how sometimes cars with magnesium shit it can glow really bright, which makes sense.

And now I'm not really in a mood for sleeping.
