Title: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: Dozno9 on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 14:10:27 Fairly addictive listening really and catching the odd glimpse on the red button.
He's 32 hours into it and has 20 hours to go for the World record, 5 more for the Radio One record. I'm not his biggest fan but it's some going. Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 14:13:18 I have avoided radio one for the last 2 days!
Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: Spy on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 14:14:44 Hopefully it'll kill him off.
Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: LucienSanchez on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 14:15:02 I've tried to avoid it for the last 7 or 8 years... it's the same 10 songs on repeat, all day.
Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: Langers on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 14:18:36 Radio one is utter wank and Moyles is a cunt.
Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: Arriba on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 14:21:55 it's all about radio 2
Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: Saxondale on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 14:27:29 I can only repeat my facebook status of yesterday at this point
Can Chris Moyles host radio 1's longest ever show? Without me tracking him down breaking into the studio and putting an axe through the corpulent, self regarding, misanthropic twats smug, grinning face? £100 to comic relief if they let me do that. I got quite a few likes from that one. That's double Hart FM. God that station sucks. Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: Samdy Gray on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 14:56:30 I can't stand Moyles. It's a novelty if they ever play a song on his show, he talks that much.
Radio 1 is utter tripe between the hours of 7am and 7pm. The late shows are good though. Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: jimmy_onions on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 15:03:44 Hopefully it'll kill him off. This. What amazes id that Moyles listening figures are so consistently high? Who the fook is listening? Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: Ardiles on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 15:20:57 I listen to all of Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4 and Radio 5 on a regular basis. I'd probably listen to Radio 6 as well if I could be bothered to get a digital radio. I can't remember the last time I listened to Radio 1 though...which is hardly surprising because I'm in my late 30s and hardly in their target demographic. (I'm fairly sure that most Radio 1 listeners are either in or recently out of nappies.)
Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: Abrahammer on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 15:22:35 I can't stand Moyles. It's a novelty if they ever play a song on his show, he talks that much. I have to listen to it every bloody morning at work. I think average is 3 songs an hour, mostly dance/pop/RnB shit, with crappy quizzes and Moyles trying to be funny. Utter shit Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: THE FLASH on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 15:45:16 Its all about Pop Master...
Always shout YES!! and punch the air on each question...get in! Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: Doore on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 15:55:31 Radio 5 live is the radio of kings.
Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: STFC4LIFE on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 17:17:19 Alot of people don't like him, personally I dont mind him. but fair play, the show has raised around 700k so it is all worth it.
Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: herthab on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 17:26:13 I like him. He reminds me of Herthab I think that's the most cuntish thing you've ever said. i also hope Moyles dies as a result of this show Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 21:43:57 Thing is with Moyles you know he's doing it for his own fame and to boost his over inflated ego rather than just for charity.... Therefore I won't donate
Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: donkey on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 21:55:24 Radio 4 LW - Test Match Special. It's all about this.
(Until the fucking shipping forecast comes on :rocket:) Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: Dozno9 on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 22:25:35 Thing is with Moyles you know he's doing it for his own fame and to boost his over inflated ego rather than just for charity.... Therefore I won't donate Yeah, better to look at the bigger picture. You could also argue it's because of his fame and ego that means he CAN raise over £1m for charity. Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: Saxondale on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 22:32:57 I tell you what, if I donate to anything, Ill donate anyway. I wont donate just because something that makes me what to scrape my ears off with a rusty spoon is happening for 36 hours.

Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: Simon Pieman on Friday, March 18, 2011, 00:08:26 I suppose you could say the same thing about all charity stuff though. People wouldn't spontaneously donate to most charities were it not for events and sponsorship to raise awareness. As much as Moyles is an annoying bastard fair play for him trying to do something more challenging than dancing like a twat in drag on telly.
All radio is shit anyway. Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: shady on Friday, March 18, 2011, 02:02:27 I suppose you could say the same thing about all charity stuff though. Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: joteddyred on Friday, March 18, 2011, 17:31:47 It doesn't really matter if half the country despise the bloke, he managed to raise £2.4 million in 52 hours for a good cause. I think it was a fantastic effort and watching on the red button became strangely addictive. I've always wondered what goes on in the studio when songs are playing.

How old are you people for fucks sake? Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: Samdy Gray on Friday, March 18, 2011, 20:06:01 Not nearly as old as you, you miserable old codger.

How old are you people for fucks sake? Made me think a bit to be honest mate, I've often said "I hate" Moyles but I guess what I mean is I've heard enough of him to think he sounds like a pretty unpleasant sort of bloke, doesn't come close to being someone I'd like to have a pint with. That said I don't know him so I take your point. On the wider subject of Comic Relief etc, if he has helped raise loads of cash then well done to him, I've sat and watched a lot of the stuff on TV tonight in a post Cheltenham drunken stupor and have been moved by how much money people have donated, whether it's inspired by Moyles or whatever really doesn't matter, we should be proud of ourselves in this country.... Moyles included (still 'hate' him though!) Oh crap, Jack Dee's bit is back on.... we're so lucky. Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: flammableBen on Saturday, March 19, 2011, 00:26:15 The problem with the sad Jack Dee bits is that he constantly has the same expression as the unhappy sick children.
Oh shit the child died and now I feel bad Title: Re: Chris Moyles - Radio One Marathon Post by: Berniman on Saturday, March 19, 2011, 14:39:21 I like Chris Moyles, it's the only show I listen to on R1, the rest is shite!
