If we can keep Benyon fit and Andrew can take defenders out of position then we might at least go down with a bit of a fight.  Problem is this is what Pericard should have been doing all season.

Don't want to run him down before he's even signed but I spoke to a Palace ST holder and his exact words were:

I've always thought in the past that the 'Director of Football' role was the biggest pile of shit ever invented. Something that was created for managers who had been at football clubs for so long it would have been blasphemy to sack them - people like Graham Taylor or Dario Gradi for example. I'd imagine he's been signed to play upfront with someone else so we dont have to play a crappy 4-5-1. If he's better than Pericard at holding the ball up it could work.

Dossevi,Grella and Andrew are to much a like,work hard but won't score the goals we need.

Onion if you are saying he is better than nothing fair enough but i just cannot fathom this signing at all.

I've got a hunch he might be looking at Grella as an AMC. Sitting just behind Benyon and Andrew, which sounds like and ideal pairing up front.

I think Andrew has the potential to be just as good as Jon Stevenson, Lloyd Opara, Fola Onibuje or Moses Ashikodi!

Got a good feeling about him, good workrate, not prolific but definitely has the physical presence we need up front which could help out Grella, Benyon Ritchie etc.  There again i could just be clutching at straws again  :nod:

But what about Jamie Slabber and Shaun Close?
