I have an ant farm. It's one of those fantastic blue gel ones that astronauts have their ants in.

Although at the moment I only have 5 ants because it started raining.

you can send away for harvester ants. Costs £3.50 but I couldnt wait that long. Its all too exciting.

Indeed, any new ants could be shunned by the current inhabitants, causing the new additions to form their own conoly on the other side of the farm.  This would lead to different languages being formed, and ultimately war I suppose.

You could just kill the original 4, and replace them with a new batch.

it will die without one but they will dig still. Then when they die I will put new ones in. I could find a queen but im not too sure about digging in the garden. I might get over run

3 months on average. If you get a queen she will obviously make new ones. but I will just replace them when they are wiped out.

put them in a jar and shake em up, its the future, i've seen it. My bro used to have one of them, they are pretty cool though ants die fairly quickly so you need to keep topping them up!

I saw a really scary bug on holiday in Barbados once, we killed it out of fear and later found out it was quite poisonous - phew.

Me and a mate found this crazy two headed caterpillar thingy with a savage blue spike on it's head. It looked like it escaped from a South American rainforsest and hitched over here on some bananas.  We put it in a bottle and fed it spiders. It kicked their arse everytime

It was a couple of years ago. We found it in a local park where we played footy during the summer hols. We hid the bottle and would have a look at it every day when we went there but one day the bottl ehad mysteriously disapeared. I think it'species came along in a flying saucer and took it back to Glubeatron. It seriously looked like an alien! It had two heads, one at each end of its body. One had a crazy blue spike!

I saw a massive beatle type thing on the way back from my mates a few weeks back. It was the size of my hand and just crawling across the pavement :shock:

Talking of scary bugs, I was once staying out in the Thai country side, sleeping on the floor of a wooden hut/shack type thingy. I was woken up one night by a rustling sound just inches from where i was sleeping and opened my eyes to find myself face to face with what must have been spawned by Satan himself. It was a bright red and purple, 1 ft long centipede and it was the most evil fucking thing I have seen. My shouts woke up the whole village and some woman came running in and promptly chopped it in hald wiv a machete and then we all freaked out like fuck cos the 2 severed parts of the body strart running around and hissing at us. I ran out of the hut whilst a mob of Thai's set about killing the thing and did not re-enter until i was assured it was dead.

Needless ta say i didn't get much sleep that night.

To give better care to your ants give them a few drops of water every day. Don't make their sand so wet that water pools up on top and they drown in it, but do give them a few drops every day. To give your ants an extra boost of energy and a real treat they will love, mix a pinch of sugar in a teaspoon of water and give it to the ants once a week.

Dave your ants would be fat and gay. Treat them mean, keep em keen
