Title: Fleetwood Mac
Post by: Doore on Friday, February 18, 2011, 16:39:29
Big fan.  Peter Green era is really good, and I confess a love of the pop stylings of Buckingham/Nicks.  Any other Mac fan here?

No...but I know a bird who is. I've posted this before, but may be of interest to you, I saw  Mac played Swindon Town Hall several times along with Andy Partridge's Star Park. Post Peter Green, pre going to USA.

Yeah weren't there two couples in the band, they both split up but carried on playing together? Think 'Rumours' was basically a breakup album from Buckingham to Nicks iirc.

Aye - I think the McVie's had split during that time as well, and Mick Fleetwood was going through a divorce.

I bet the studio was a great laugh.  Brilliant album though.

Awesome band. Used to listen to my mums LPs when I was a kid and still listen now. Rumours is probably in my top 10 albums of all time.

Dreams is probably their best song.

Also, didn't mention that Stevie Nicks puts even the lovely Debbie Harry in the shade.

We disagree again. I'd go for Debbie Harry over Stevie Nicks but I wouldn't say no to a threesome - thats with those two - not you.
