Title: Blowing up photos?
Post by: Barry Scott on Thursday, June 30, 2005, 12:39:35
Anyone know anywhere in swindon where i can take a photo and get i blown up please?

I don't have the negatives, so i am relying on a larger copy of the photo being made.

What size is the original print and how big do you want it?

Find a decent photo/camera shop and ask there. We'd do it where we work, but anything larger than 8x6 would probably look shite.

I think the photo is 5" x 7", tried to find copycats today, but appears to no longer exist.

Want to try and double its size... ish. Was gonna try a high res scanner & printer, use photo paper and see how that turns out?

I'm gonna take a trip round town tomorrow and speak to camera shops and see what they say.

Cheers

You could try a high res scanner, put the image onto a disc and see what a camera shop could do with that. You may be able to do 10x8, it depends how much loss of quality you can cope with.
