PHIL!!!! - I don't like Funeral for a Friend but they are genuinely good guys. My friend's nephew was killed a few years ago. They were his favourite band. My friend contacted them to see if they would play a benefit gig at his school and they did. Turned up in their big tour bus, played a long set and were then drinking with everyone, signing autographs, pictures etc. Apparently had time for everyone including my mate's 80 year old mum. I've just had that issue, tried doing this but sorted my iTunes by year and it turns out I bought one album released in 2010, and that was the Ray Davies one (See My Friends) I got for Christmas: Good fun but wouldn't exactly call it a classic. Title: Re: The inevitable "Music of the year" Thread Post by: Mexicano Rojo on Monday, January 3, 2011, 09:20:42 i liked the steve mason album, and paul heatons acid country is cracking,

I remember hearing about this particular gig. A nice touch by them, it has to be said. But yeah, they are one of the more 'down to earth' sort of bands. They don't let all the rockstar fame bullshit go to their heads. Very nice people, like you say.PHIL!!!! - I don't like Funeral for a Friend but they are genuinely good guys. Loses its way for me nearer to the end. I did enjoy it though. I think they compliment each other very well in most of the songs. My favourites are Leaders, Patience and Nah Mean.Title: Re: The inevitable "Music of the year" Thread Post by: Rich Pullen on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, 20:34:13 I saw Damian Marley during his Welcome to Jamrock tour.
