anybody know any decent golf courses in devon, possibly near exeter or torquay, and are reasonable?

Head further south and play St Mellion, if you're all tight bastards the second 18 holes is still very decent (can't remember what it's called) or fork out and get on the Nicklaus course, I played in a junior match a few years ago and it's absolutely awesome.

I second the Okehampton recommendation, done a few weekends down there.

2 days, 4 rounds, shitfaced the night in between.  You can't ask for more.

Try Nigel Mansell's course at Woodbury but only if they're not using temporary greens...

Twenty mins from Exeter....played Dartmouth years back also..as Grubby says a good course.

Some nice lodges at Fingle Glen.

I would definately go for Dartmouth - a great golf course (probably the best in South Devon - not far from Torquay) and always have tons of good deals. More details on there website: www.dgcc.co.uk.
