Title: Footy Shirt Framing
Post by: Luci on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, 13:32:56
Can anyone recommend anywhere legitimate that can frame signed footy shirts to a decent quality?

Lots of places but not sure which is good or not

I agree, just done a job for me, £33.  Would be more for a shirt.

Just make sure you ask that they don't cut the shirt, went into one in old town and they said some places cut the shirt in half to fit it in the frame easier and chuck the other half in the trash!

Place in Rodbourne does not cut shirts. They have an example of an Andy Johnson Everton shirt in store.

Recommend the Framing & Stamping corner on Bassett High Street.

Ask for Alan, he's in the guild of master craftsmen so the work is top quality and price is reasonable. He's done loads of sports memorabilia work in the past, including for that place that used to be in the Brunel. He's also done work for the club in the past.

His workshop number is 01793 855 307

I'm getting mine done by the club but I haven't had it back yet so can't comment on the quality.  The demo one looked ace and I think the cost is around 85 quid.

BUMP!
In case anyone is interested in the club framing - they've done a great job IMO.  The two panels at the bottom are a picture of the current squad and a legend that says "Authentically signed by Swindon Town 2010/11 squad" although who'd want to forge STFC players autographs isn't clear to me.  Apologies for the really shit photo

I think it was £80 - the missus got it me and I'm not supposed to know the exact cost.
