Any advice on what to buy a four-year-old who likes egg chasing and cricket? he has a cricket bat and all the London irish clothes already.

My kids at that age were really into action figures, either based round films/TV programmes (e.g. the appalling Ben10) or just stuff like knights and dragons etc. Not very sporty, I know, but if he's a rugby and cricket but not football fan he clearly doesn't like proper sport anyway :) Maybe a Real Ale Guide?

Many happy break times at school with that game. It was possible to develop a consistent roll to rack up some impressive scores.

I really hope you're referring to the gum and not some sort of public school euphemism for favours in the showers

If it was my child, I wouldn't be on here asking for advice! I don't have any littluns (yet) .

Looks like Hungry Hippos could be a winner (I can't get world cup cricket delivered in time, next year - looks ace!)

Along similar lines is Piranha something or other, game with marbles going up a plastic track and falling through holes. Just in case you're looking for options. Oh, and Pop-up Pirate was pretty popular

For a four year old a very basic scalextric set (just a simple oval) would be just the job
