I've gone for Singer-Songwriters at the BBC on BBC4. I would watch friends but only if I was bottling jumping off a bridge onto the motorway and needed persuading it was a good idea.

I wish all my friends were like those in the tv show of the same name. Actually just the women. Well Phoebe is pushing it a bit, but yeah.

I'm currently sat in a hotel room in Bangalore bored out of my mind as there's been no booze on sale in any bar, restauarant or off license since Wednesday because of the Ayodyha verdict and the threat of riots/inter-religious massacres.

To make matters worse, tomorrow is a national day of celebration for Ghandi's birthday and guess what?  The whole country will be booze-free...

I'd manipulate them to my own ends, it would be so easy to judge what sarcastic, stupid, clever, quirky, neurotic and nipples were going to do that I'd be able to second guess them and play them all like puppets.

I'm looking at the time and thinking I should watch some tv. Or read. Or turn my PS3 on and watch a film. Decisions, decisions. And I tried to make Sushi today. It was fucking disgusting. The wasabi was very bitter and too hot, the Nori was too strong, the rice was over cooked and it all went in the bin and I had ham egg and chips instead.

Didn't stock up as didn't know they'd introduced this stupid order until it was too late.  Have tried offering "tips" to room service and the local bottle shop but not happening as police presence is huge.  My minibar keeps getting re-stocked so all is not lost and if i get really desperate I've heard oif a trick involving shoe polish and bread that could be called upon to get me wasted...

As for venturing out, no point everything shuts here at 11pm.  Now 1:50am so dead as a dodo. 

I'm drinking Ramsbury Gold, and watching strictly.

I've got the first two eps of Boardwalk Empire, King Lear, The Seventh Seal and a few Bill Bailey stand up DVDs. Too much choice, I think I'll play Fifa instead.

It's produced by Scorsese, not sure if he was involved in the making of it though... Good cast.

WHAT?! I'm a Pepsi Max addict. I get really annoyed if I go in a shop and it's out of it. (Actually that's not completely true, because I always used to buy just the 500ml bottles, but now I just buy the 2 litre bottles which almost everywhere stocks - apart from Coventry of course.)

I'm the opposite, I hate that fake sweet sickly taste of diet cola drinks. Not that I drink that much of them, generally when I'm hungover, when I could probably do with the sugar. I drink them quite often.

That's like me. :) People have asked me that before, but then they don't drink diet drinks. I order diet coke with shit food, not because I'm fighting those few extra calories, but because I prefer it. I properly hate full fat coke/Pepsi and prefer Pepsi Max. Diet Pepsi is a distant second with Diet Coke way back in third.

And like Sonic all I drink is Pepsi Max and Coffee.

EDIT: I find sugar too thick and sickly in drinks and even have artificial sweeteners in my hot drinks. I prefer those fake thin bodiless man-made sweeteners.

I prefer pepsi max to the normal pepsi, I think it's because all the sugar gives me a resting heart rate of a rapey serial killer.

I had to quit drinking coffee when I was working in my recently lost cafe job.

It was really good coffee, and to start off with I thought that a few espressos was the perfect antidote to the usual tirednes, early mornings and slight hangovers.

Of course I could never resist topping myself up all morning and then I'd come close to shitting myself just as the busy lunch time was starting.

I quit the coffee after some close calls and stuck to the tea.

 

There's no shortage in Swindon, I've been down Asda this eveing and there's stacks of the stuff.  Eight cans are currently half price as well only £1.74.  I only like full fat and always find that when on offer there's always loads of Pepsi Max and Diet, but often no normal Pepsi.  Tonight there was all varieties though, they must have restocked!

Which reminds me of something my mate said the other day. He'd had a few beers and was at a bird's house. She said he could share her bed. He said it wasn't a good idea because he can get a bit rapey.

Ben that is so true. I drink a lot of coffee, some days when my colleagues are avoiding work in the office they will be more charitable and make drinks for a change. Therefore some days I end up drinking a dozen cups a day and it really can give you the coffee shits.

I don't suppose you feel like bringing me a car boot full of the stuff? I feel like stocking up in case the apocalypse is nigh.

As much as I would like to assist you, unfortunately the answer is no.  However, keep me informed of the availability levels in your area and if there is still no improvement when you are next planning to attend the CG, I will purchase stock for you and pass them over to you before the game.  It would be a bit like a Pepsi Max car boot sale!  Of course the risk is by then they could be full price, so the deal would not be as good  :)

I wouldn't want one of my own, and it's bloody tiring, but looking after my nephew most this week has been great fun.

Obviously I'm a bit biased, but it's so much fun that you can manuplate everything into being a brilliant exciting adventure, which makes everything fun for me too.

I find that my two brothers (even though one is not particularly child friendly) have some sort of magic touch over my two boys.  Whatever they do with them is seen as brilliant even if it's nothing particularly exciting, like you say it seems like an adventure.  For some reason if I try the same tactics it never works, but then mum is not seen as being as exciting as uncles  :(

He's 2, 3 early november.

I think the adventure uncle thing comes from not having to really do much of the routine looking after stuff. These last 4 days I've had him I've had to make him some breakfast, lunch and tea, but apart from that it's been freestyle fun time.

It's not a permanent thing, just a childminder illness thing, so it's the extra excitement which helps I think. I'm not exactly a novelty, I see lots of him, but it's still out of his normal routine.

I also don't have to provide him food and stuff, so I've got all day to play lions and football and more lions and robot beepbeeps and drawing and teaching the difference between raw dried pasta and cooked pasta. Spontaneousness.

Yeah, but theres more coming. Same again tomorrow though and shit will go down
