Saw this at work and laughed for about ten minutes. The people being outraged need to get over themselves, the Cat is completely unharmed and it's hilarious.

I think it looks quite sweet, although I can't actually believe somebody has gone to the trouble of doing it especially since they've taken care not to get it round the eyes, nose and mouth?  Doesn't seem to fit the normal mould of aninal cruelty.
