Title: To go or not to go
Post by: Coca Fola on Friday, September 17, 2010, 20:16:26
I'm not sure whether I should go to Walsall tomorrow after breaking my ankle yesterday. Is it worth it for the pain or should I not bother (still not amazing with the crutches). I can't make my mind up really.

Also any tips on crutches/casts etc. It's the first time I've broken something so I'm a bit of a novice on the bonebreaking front.

Fuck it, shit week at work but I'm going now. I'm going to nick your crutches for the  scrap metal value.

I've not been swallowed by any fish, thank you.

I'm also no longer a jinx, I was at the County Ground when we won last weekend. There are witnesses too!

Remember Walsall away years back...was a match to look forward to...the away end was covered and made for a good atmosphere....many away ends didnt have a cover.
Always got beat there and dont know the stats but we didnt beat them often at Fellows Park as it was known then.

I still put it down as one of my favorite away days........... don't know why, just something about the place

Oh FFS. It's my youngest's first away game. I was rather hoping for a slightly better result than his older brother's first away game (THAT game at Forest) but now there's clearly no hope. I suppose at least having been forewarned I can prepare them for the inevitable gubbing on the drive up there. I suppose it's too late to offer you a bribe not to shatter a young lad's hopes?

True....Fellows Park was always a graveyard....went in 66 and Downsborough threw in 3 in the first 15....bizarre 0-5 scoreline replicated in 81 with dire conseqences.

Went in the end and sat in the bottom corner of the stand so I could stretch my leg out. I'm glad I did too. :)

I guess you didn't drive  :)

I bust my ankle when I was 14 (playing football of course), my crutches were dismantled within 2 hours of arriving at school....I'm sure you expected the same when attending the game with the likes of Fred.
