Title: Changing broadband provider
Post by: donkey on Monday, September 6, 2010, 16:52:08
Hi all,  I'm thinking of changing broadband provider.  I could get (up to) 20MB download speed with a limit of 2 gb per month free.  How do I find out how much I use?  Would it be enough?  For info I mainly use the TEF, a NY Jets mailing site and listen to matches on STFC World.  Many thanks oh wise TEFers.

The STFC World is actually very heavy on usage, it could possibly take yuo over your limit if you use any youtube or bbc iplayer in a month.

2gB isn't much if media streaming, I think you'd struggle.

Who are you with at the moment? A lot of ISP provide 'usage stats'.

Thanks chaps.  It seems that there is a one off fee if i go the 'free' route, so if I change it'll be to unlimited anyway.  Many thanks JJ and Batch.

I'll often download 2Gb in a day when I'm hitting the torrents.

Where do people who have download caps get their porn from?
