Just had a message on facebook inviting me to a school reunion next year. It will be 30 years since I've seen most of these people and 29 years since I moved away.

Anyone been to one of these? Are grudges still carried from your school days, or have you matured and let bygones be bygones?

Dunno whether to go or not tbh, they all look like cunts now. (And the women all look like frumpy old hags)

I should imagine that if none of you have met for the last 30 years then your memories of each other are "frozen" from when you were at school and the inter personal relationships will carry on as they left off.
So, you should start off by giving the weedy guy a wedgie, pulling on girls hair and then run around doing armpit farts and sliding on your knees.

I don't need to go to a school reunion for that, sounds like a normal Saturday night at my local!

Mine was quite good.

I went with the reformed school bully, he had moved on but a few of the kids had'nt and gave him a load of shit!

mine was a right laugh, copped off with an old flame too.

Went to mine earlier this year.  Good laugh and I realised that I look good for my age.  Fat but good.

I'm not sure how I'll react when mine comes around. Most, if not all, of the people I was friends with at school, I'm still friends with now. We were lucky because we were all very close and we still are now. Even those who moved away. Therefore the people I'd meet at a reunion are my current friends plus others who I wasn't friends with then, so won't be now.

Do it peter griffin style. turn up in a astronaut suit and cowboy hat.

My old school has just closed down, so I'm not sure if anyone will ever organise one in 20 odd years time. If they do it'll be at some function room, which I imagine takes away all the fun of revisiting that concrete piss-hole.

I went to one a few years ago, apart from a lot of people not turning up I was struggling to recognise everyone it was embarrasing, but there were some hot females that it was fun flirting with that were munters at school

Kept in touch with a few after leaving because they were mates....or birds that were obliging.

I've been to two school reunions since leaving (same school). There is always at least one person who recognises you but you haven't got a clue who they are (even when they tell you their name)  :)

My old year are arranging one via Facebook at the moment as it's 20 years since we did our GCSE's.

18th September at the Kings Arms in Malmesbury. 7 confirmed guests so far. I'm not one of them...

my old school year are doing the same(although for some reason they are doing the 20 year reunion after 19 years)currently 14 confirmed for rudis later this month,of which i'm not one of them.
there are certain individuals i wouldn't mind seeing after all these years but these type of events aint my thing.

What makes me laugh is the 7 people that are going seem to be a group of people that never left the area after school finished and see quite a bit of each other anyway!

I wouldn't attend a school reunion. Most of the lads in my class were grade A cunts and I've kept in touch with those I wanted to. Like arriba, not my cup of tea. There have been reunions but I've just ignored them and I'm sure I wasn't missed.

i got a invite for a 10yr meet up. I think not. The people who say oh do you remember me ect would just p1ss me off. There were over 340 in my year and over 1200 in the school. I knew my mates thats it... Would love to turn up like Peter Griffin does in his school reunion in family, saying i was a astronaught/millionair haha :clap:

I couldn't wait to leave the place, I certainly don't want to go back to listen to bollocks like; "oh weren't those days great?" No they weren't. Those I wanted to keep in touch with I have and those that I didn't - I didn't.

I went to one and confronted the school bully in the toilets,we cracked a joke and he said...phew just for a moment Lee i thought you were going to hit me.........to which i replied well you now know how we all felt at school now...a nervous laugh followed through his thin lips and i resisted the urge to ask him where his long black locks had gone to be replaced by a shiny bald scalp.
